Owen W****** came to my door offering to check my roof for damage. I knew I had some and needed my chimney and gutters fixed so I agreed. Insurance approved the roof, the gutters and the chimney.

When Owen returned to go over options, he said insurance wasn't enough for the interior and paint so he would upgrade the shingles instead for no extra. I said I didn't care as long as my chimney and gutters were fixed. He agreed and I signed. A few days later we spoke through text. I said he may have gone to my ex husband's house and if he did a great job I would recommend them. I also mentioned how I was so excited to get the chimney and gutters fixed and the roof was just an added bonus. He said he was excited for me.

They fixed my roof and it looks amazing. However, I walked outside to do the final inspection after just 4 hours. I asked if they were returning. He said no. I asked why not? They didn't fix the chimney. He stated it was just "superficial" not "structural" but if it leaked he would pay from his own pocket to fix it. I told him no, that was not what I agreed to. He said he'd talk to his boss.

Our next contact was him asking for the insurance money through text. I argued with him about the chimney then spent 2 weeks trying to contact Jody C*** (owner) through text, phone and email including through my insurance company. A woman finally responded on Friday (6/17) didn't answer any of my questions and transferred me to him after getting upset. He was the rudest person I've ever spoken to. He refused to send his business license, told me to go to and get it myself. Then told me if I didn't pay him by 3pm Monday (Federal holiday) he would "come after me".

A single mom of two this frightened me. He placed a lien on my house with none of my questions answered, sent a link to enter my bank info and threatened to come after my house next. I paid all of the insurance money just to end it. It was affecting my work, family and health. I wanted it over.

We provided an astonishing service and when asked for the remaining balance, this SINGLE MOM tried to commit insurance fraud. Not our style of business. We still have a lien on her house due to an unpaid balance.
