I need your help, please. I dropped off my truck for repairs on April 16th to ***** at Christian Brother's Automotive for a problem with me starting my truck, the ignition lock to be exact. I was contacted by ***** stating that he needed additional time to diagnose the problem when we had discussed what the issue was. I agreed as I needed my vehicle repaired. ***** then called me and stated that the total cost of repairs for the ignition lock and cylinder housing repair would be $523 ($300 for the diagnostic). I asked him to move forward with the repairs. After approving the work/repairs, a few days later I received a call stating that my truck was ready for pick up. Upon arrival on Monday, April 22nd, I was told that the mechanic cant make the repairs and that $300 is due to release/retrieve my truck. Words were exchanged as I was anticipating my vehicle to be repaired. I was especially upset being told that to get my vehicle, I had to pay $300. My family does not have $300 to throw away. The mechanic should have discovered that he wasnt able to make the repairs when he looked at my truck not after $300 of diagnostic fees AND agreeing to make the repairs/fix my truck. One of the pillars of their company is that they focus on integrity. I do not feel that the core values of their company were aligned with this transaction. Im requesting a refund of $300 for diagnostic fees.I have sent multiple messages via the website (under the concern tab) and I have also emailed the owner, ****************** and haven't received any response.

Dodge Durango was brought in for the Air Compressor to be replaced. The ac is still not working and they told us to bring it back. They also lost the lever to the thermostat to flip if from heat to ac and you can't just replace that part. You have to replace the entire thermostat. When we went to pick up the car, we weren't even allowed to come inside. I never raised my voice but I guess they didn't like the fact that I said I felt I was being overcharged. They were supposed to let me bring my Durango back to service the *** it probably needs freon too. My vehicle is under warranty but after we left a negative review on ****** they started to prank call me from different numbers. I was also told never to come back on the property again when I did nothing but speak my mind. I was not belligerent. They in fact are very unprofessional. On two different repair jobs I have spent thousands of dollars with them. They need to fix my AC and replace my thermostat. I have a special needs child and two other children and a fiance. We have spent all summer sweating to death because we have no air conditioning.

      To the BBB,

I have looked into this complaint and verified that the repair the customer, *******************, is referring to happened July 28,2021.  This repair took place under a different owner of the business.  I purchased the shop in April of 2022 and have not heard a complaint from this guest.  I have tried to reach out via phone since this complaint has come through and have not been able to reach *********************  I am sorry that his experience was not pleasant, but I assure you that under the new owner and team will be a pleasant and great experience.
