On 12/26/22 I took my 2007 Dodge Sprinter to this provider and requested an itemized list of items that needed to be fixed and the price it would take for them to repair it. The representative gave me an initial estimate of $2,648.36 which was for a multitude of items. The representative also stated that I would have to pay $1,200.00 as a deposit in order him to order the parts. This amount was paid for by my wife and we agreed to have the Front end bearings with front end alignment, degrease the engine in order to determine where it was leaking from, change cabin air filter, brake flush, and power steering flush. The balance owed was $1,448.36. This amount was to be paid when picking up the vehicle. On 01/18/23 we received a call from the provider stating that the van was ready to be picked he advised that the price had gone up. We questioned why the price had changed and was told that they had to replace a wheel speed sensor and that was an additional cost. We questioned why they went ahead and fixed the item without contacting us to make us aware of the issue and also to give us the chance to either give approval for them to fix the item or to ask that they not fix the item. The price to get the van at this point was $1,790.86. This is a difference of $342.50. The representative stated that he was sorry that no one called us to let us know, but the work had been completed so we had to pay what they stated was owed. We were forced to pay the price because if we had left the van there, we would have incurred storage fees. We have called multiple times and requested to speak with the owner, and was always told that he was not there or that he was unavailable. I am requesting a refund of the $342.50 which is the amount that we did not agree to pay.It is unprofessional for them to just be able to charge us whatever they want. This was my work van and they knew that I would have no other choice but to pay whatever price they gave me so that I would be able to regain use of my vehicle for work.
