Company gave me a bad Minisplit and refuses to honor warranty and replace. unit was just installed in the last 3-4 weeks. Called many times. *** refuses to speak to me about fixing the situation. Also *** at Re Michel refuses to work with my licensed ac tech to replace the unit.Initial Complaint

On October 18, 2018 Our A/C contractor purchased a new 5 ton ac/heating unit from RE Michels in **********. The unit had a 10 year warranty that would replace either the unit or the part that went bad in that 10 year period. After 4.5 years on Aug 4th 2023 the compressor went out on the unit provided by RE Michels. We contacted a certified a/c contractor who in turn contacted RE Michels and ordered the new unit. It took 11 days for RE Michels to get the new unit to the contractor. The contractor installed the new unit on the 15th day of August, 2023. When the contractor started the new unit he immediately noticed that something was wrong with the operation of the fan on the new unit. The contractor immediately called RE Michels who asked the contractor what he expected RE Michels to do. The contractor informed RE Michels that he expected RE Michels to order a replacement fan and blades for the new unit. (all this took place with the homeowner (me) present). Today is now August 15th and RE Michel has informed the contractor (and me, although reluctantly to me) that they had no idea when the new part would be available but that the owned this problem and would get it resolved. My complaint is simply that RE Michels appears to have very little concern for their customers comfort not do they concern themselves with resolving this issue in a timely manner.
