I hired *** the Concrete Man to install a 24' by 28' concrete pad to serve as a base for our above ground pool.I went through the project with their Project Manager and described what I wanted, talked about the work that would be done, and accepted a quoted price of $7,725.00 on June 2nd, 2023. On June 26th *** the Concrete Man sent out their work crew and installed a concrete pad that was off level from 4-6 inches and unusable for the purpose I wanted the work done (to be a level base for our above ground pool).Their project manager came out and looked at the work and agreed that it was not usable. He told me they would come out, rip up the pad, and redo the work to make it usable. I also don't believe the crew was compensated for the rework and that could have caused other issues in the work being done.The second pad that was installed on 7/1/23 and has a lot of issues. It pools water in multiple spots adding daily upkeep work for me to go out and clear it anytime water gets on it. It was not graded or given any kind of drainage so it has eroded other parts of my backyard that now require more work to fix. The concrete pad also has very noticeable cracks sprawling throughout the lower left quadrant. The rework also added a large step that is now a tripping hazard that wasn't discussed with me.Lastly, the crew that was sent out destroyed personal property, left piles of discarded concrete, didn't clean up after themselves, used my personal belongings (wheelbarrow),and left a generous pile of beer bottle caps littered throughout my backyard.At this point I am requesting a full refund due to the amount of work I will now have to pay to not only remove the old concrete but to fix the eroding that is happening in other spots of my backyard now. I am not satisfied with the final product at all and feel like my backyard is worse off now that it was before the concrete pad was installed. I've attached pictures and an invoice.
