On 10/12/22, I called ****************** and made an appt for 11/14/22. I gave them my insurance information. On the day of my appt I gave them my insurance card, and sat for 25 minutes in waiting room. Finally, x-rays was taken of my mouth. Then I was taken into the treatment room where my mouth was x-rayed again. After waiting for 15 minutes, the dentist (I dont remember his name) came in and gave me a 5 minute consultatiion based on his findings of my xrays, he did not look into my mouth. He told me the chocies I had regarding the retreatment of my maybe 20 year old root carnal gone bad. He said I didnt have to make a decision now, but think about the choices. That was it. When I went to pay, I was told my bill was $310. I asked how much did my insurance pay. She said there is a note on your account that says they don't accept my insurance. Then why wasn't I told this from 10/12/22 and up to 11/14/22. I sat in the waiting room for 25 minuites and I wasn't told, and still I wasnt told at the time of payment, I had to ask what did my insurance pay? This company advertises on their website "if you call our office with your information, we can give you a more accurate estimate fee". My denist confirm my insurance acceptance with them back in January that's why she referred me to them. My dentist gave me a posssible estimate of what I may have to pay out pocket after the procedure, ( attached). I have ********************** care and I was told by another dentist in January when I went to get my teeth cleaned that some kind code attached to my insurance would not allow them to clean my teeth, but they were kind enough to referrred me to the dentist they know accepts my insurance. I am seeing her now. I know this is not the first time Enododtic staff has done this, no remorse, no aploogy. I don't want this to happen to anyone, I am a retiree on a fixed income.I had to request a copy of the bill details for the $310 then I noticed there is a balance, I wasn't told
