I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding the treatment I received from ****************** at Grayson and Associates ********** location. I have been a patient of this practice for approximately 15 years, starting with **************** and now with ******************. Recently, I have encountered several distressing incidents that raise serious questions about the quality of care and the ethical standards in this practice.During my visits with ******************, I have been subjected to suspicion and judgment without justification. At my last appointment, he asked if I had a prescription for Suboxone, a medication typically used for opioid addiction treatment. This assumption was completely unwarranted, as I have never had an addiction, nor have I ever sought treatment for one. Additionally, I cannot take opiates due to adverse reactions. This baseless question indicates possible mismanagement of medical records or personal targeting.Furthermore, ********************** approach to drug testing and medication assumptions was highly inappropriate. He required me to take a drug test without explanation, and later told me the results indicated methamphetamine and marijuana. While I do use marijuana, I do not use methamphetamine. His assumptions and comments made me feel judged, as he stated that people prescribed Xanax and Vyvanse are usually drug addicts, suggesting I have an addictive personality. The most concerning aspect of this treatment is its impact on my mental health stability. I have maintained a stable medication regimen for 7 years, especially after extensive electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) treatments that resulted in memory loss. The abrupt changes to my medication, without valid reasons, are distressing, particularly as I am close to graduating from a certification program in September. Here are additional issues that require immediate attention:1. Lack of Continuity: ****************** seems to forget our discussions from one visit to the next. I mentioned my achievement in hypnotherapy certification, yet he later asked what I was doing, indicating he did not remember or record this information.2. Uncomfortable Interactions with Staff: ****************** often has a nurse practitioner in the room during consultations. I was neither informed of this in advance nor introduced to her, making it difficult for me to discuss personal matters.3. Inappropriate Drug Testing: The repeated drug tests, without clear explanations, and the assumptions made based on my medication use (Vyvanse and Xanax), are unacceptable. My previous doctor never made such assumptions and understood my medical history. Was told that the reason for the drug test was because people who are prescribed Vyvanse and Xanax are "drug addicts".

I am rejecting this response because:

I did receive a call which i missed. There was a voicemail telling to call them back to get the status of my records. I tried calling back. When i talked to the receptionist she said she could not transfer me through and that i would have to call back in and pick "records" from the options and leave them a voicemail. I left a voicemail with my name and number but never got a call back.

      Sincerely,

      ***************************

I had a med refill due at the beginning of ‘22. I needed to see my doctor prior to refilling because my insurance requires a prior authorization (PA) now, no big deal. I see my doctor, ***** *******, in April. He is made fully aware of the need for a PA and was aware prior to my appointment. He gives me my paper prescriptions and says he’ll have his nurse send the PA in. A week goes by and my pharmacy still can’t fill my prescription because there’s no PA. The pharmacy reaches out requesting the PA and I call Grayson and Associates as well. Grayson tells me it will be fixed and leaves it at that. Another week goes by, still can’t get my meds and no PA. I call again, same runaround story. I give them some time to have this request done, all the while I’m off my medications because I have no PA for my Rx. At some point in May I get a letter that my visit in April was filed under insurance I haven’t used in 2 years - when my previous visits were filed correctly. They tell me they can’t fix it, but eventually I speak to billing who does fix the issue and ensures me that my PA will be sent under the correct insurance. Beginning of June rolls around and there’s still no PA. Finally, a nurse named Angel calls and tells me Dr. ******* is changing my meds to something that ‘won’t require a PA’. Not because my needs weren’t working, solely based on the fact that they didn’t want to send a PA to the correct insurance. Not happy with the plan, but I tell them I’ll try the new meds anyways. So, I go to pickup my new Rx on June 14th and pharmacy tells me the new needs need a PA! So I’m back at square 1, off my meds for the better part of 1/2 a year, and can’t get ahold of anyone at Grayson that’s even remotely helpful to save my life! I just want my medications filled and truly don’t understand why they can’t just do their job correctly and send the correct PA to the correct insurance and put me back on my old meds I’ve used for years. This place is a joke.
