Moved out of this home going on a month, lease std that i would get my deposit back if home was left in great condition which it was according to the home owner all except behind the stove on which i was made to py $800 out of pocket for it catching fire which was no fault of my own, these people have failed to reply to the homeowner about my deposit refund after he std and showed me where he has emailed numerous times abd called they have also failed to respond to my numerous contacts im now in the process of seeking legal action to get back my deposit refundInitial Complaint

I applied for a home and was denied. First i was told the home was available the business day before and advise i could apply. So i applied and paid for the application fee to only find out a few hours later the home is no longer available. Just like the ****** reviews they allowed people to apply for the homes just to take the application fee money when the homes are no longer available. The website still has the home listed as available and a customer that is what we have to go by when looking and applying for the home. **** in leasing (i think that his is name) is very rude promised to call me back weeks ago regarding another home and never called back. When you call leasing he is the only one that answers and tell you homes are available and you can apply then after you apply the home now is no longer available. This company do some shady unprofessional work. Legally once someone is denied they are suppose to receive the denail info within a certain timeframe. They states it was mailed on 01/03/2023 however is not now 01/10/2023 and i have yet to recieve one and it is in the same city. I have escalated this issue to the proper authorities because all this company is doing is collection application fees.Business response

Claim is unfounded. ****** was denied because of low credit score and an unlawful detainer on their background check. Letter of denial was mailed to the address provided by applicant.Initial Complaint

Captivating Introduction: 3 properties, $19k out of pocket, never received a deposit over $500 in 9 months. It's a laundry list of items to complain about but the most recent, Decas charged me $100 for EACH visit to the property after a fire (they fixed nothing, moved nothing, prepared 1 report with 4 pictures and charged me $100 per visit). They managed 3 properties, I have deposited over $19,000 for repairs and something is still always wrong, each month. I have never gotten a deposit to my account over $500, in a 9 month time span. I know we're all thinking "why don't you cancel your contract" but if I cancel my contract, they are going to charge me. I am quite literally going into debt for cash flowing properties. It does not make any logical sense. They don't answer the phone or respond to emails. All Decas does is collect your rent, keep it and then charge auxiliary fees for **************************** services. They gave me $67 last month lol $67.Initial Complaint

I had a toilet that was over running I called the company to fix the problem it took them two weeks to send someone then I got a bill for $330 I have called this company in past to fix the same toilet they never showed up I had to pay out of pocket to get it fixed myself. I have called this same company sometime back because I had people coming through my backyard I asked him put a fence up I was told my the company to put up a no trespassing sign of course it did not work sometime later. These people got to shooting with the neighbors and shot my windshield another expense I had to pay. This company added insult to injury by charge me $330 for a toilet that it took them two weeks to come out to fix, my family had to leave the premises because we could not use the toilet and that was another expense. Just not good customer service. They are quick to add a later charge but not quick on fixing issues in the house. This was just much for me to process. Times are hard and was their solution after making us wait to use the bathroom and having to leave our home.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/01/27) */ Tenant submitted work order through maint. portal and it was assigned to our plumbing specialist. Upon cableing the drain, they found plastic and ribbon in the pipes. Attached are pictures of items pulled out and wrapped around their cable. There was a singular charge back to the ledger for the $330 and it was for this instance in which these items were found in the pipes with which tenant has been living since 4/2020. Uploaded photos/ proof of these items found in real time.
