April 7, 2023 Cardinal Roofing and Restoration LLC inspections & quoted for chimney and roof repair (verbal $3500) later on the same day written quote via ************ Services Agreement with detailed repairs and associated cost was incorrectly added true total was $3480 and actual written total $3500.April 10, 2023 Cardinal Roofing and Restoration requested a loan amount from ****************** for more than the ************ Services Agreement in the amount of $3550 and on April 12, 2023 requested half of that amount $1775 which they received. Thirty days later I had no information when the project would be scheduled. May 13, **** after telephoning a two man crew repaired chimney and roof. May 15, 2023 Cardinal Roofing called to schedule the ceiling repair for May 19, 2023. May 23,2023 received invoice #****-1 with payment due of $1881.32. The original payment was noted incorrectly as $1668.32 and not the $1775 that was received. Telephone and e-mails were exchanged May 22, 23 and June 3, 2023. No explanation was given in reasonable terms on any of those communications. May 24, 2023 Cardinal Roofing requested ******* from ****************** to subtract the balance of $******* for the incorrect loan amount $3550 and not the second incorrect amount $3500 verbal and written quotes which where itemized on the ************ Services Agreement added to $3480. Cardinal Roofing has not responded to efforts to rectify these mathematical mistakes.

We reviewed the customer's file, and agreed with her calculation.  She was refunded $70 several weeks ago.  We believe the issue is now resolved.

I am rejecting this response because:
Cardinal Roofing is again fabricating the truth of the matter. Cardinal Roofing states that they sent a refund SEVERAL WEEKS AGO, when in fact the check was dated June 22, 2023 and 11 (eleven) days never has constituted several weeks. It doesnt even make two (2) weeks. Cardinal Roofing is not an honest or honorable company. Cardinal Roofing did not pay the interest or finance charges and left the client with the interest and finance charges on the amount they over borrowed for their mathematical error. The amount borrowed according to Cardinal Roofings request was $3550 and the only amount that should have been borrowed was $3480 and the interest and finance charges are less on $3480 than $3550 so $70 was a cheap trick and I bet they have been skimming $70 or more off clients who dont pay attention.

      Sincerely,

      *****************************

I contracted cardinal roofing to do an inspection on my roof. After the inspection it was noted that my roof had enough life left in it not to warrant a replacement. I did however need new gutters as mine were not able to handle the water load from my roof. Cardinal Roofing contracted out a gutter company and installed my gutters in 2021. Weeks after having the gutters installed, we noticed that the gutter was not flush to the facia, and had them come back out to put new nails in them. Weeks and months go by and the gutters continue to pull away. It appears there was some rot, so we fixed those places(outside of cardinal) and had a contractor re-attach the gutters. The problems continues to happen so cardinal comes back out, and says they need to put drip edge on because thats the only thing that will allow the water to flow into the gutter. The water is continuously getting behind the gutter and continuing to wear my soffit and create rot. I have been in constant contact with them since July of 2022 and they have constantly promised to come out and install the drip edge, but have failed to finish their work.

We installed the gutters in accordance with our agreement.  We are happy to quote the installation of drip edge, but this is a separate project.
