Took my ***** B **** in for a fuel service/cleaner on 7-21-2023. As I was leaving , I started my truck and the ** compressor was cycling on and off causing my engine&#**;s RPM&#**;s to go up and down. I had no issues when I arrived at the shop. I got down the road and called them to ask what did they do to my vehicle. ************************* says it bring it back in so they can look at it. ************************* said I need a new compressor.I had just picked up my truck from Tires for Less, my truck was running perfect, no issues at all with the air conditioner. They (****) can verify this.I took my truck to *********** Change , they did an ** service on my ***** and no leaks was found. He ******* did say the freon was low enough to cause problems. I did not need a new compressor, only freon. I suspect while at Guthrie&#**;s they took freon out of my ** system.

********************* ***** is a 23 year old vehicle. Most 23 year old vehicles have a refrigerant leak in the A/C system. The A/C Compressor clutch plate has oil and dust stuck to it, which indicates that refrigerant is leaking at the compressor seal. We cleaned the injectors on this vehicle, it was observed by 2 witnesses during this process that the A/C clutch was cycling at that time. From this observation only was he told that he needed a compressor replacement. ****************** made an appointment to bring his vehicle back so we could test the system, but did not show. Since we did not get to leak test the system and I don't know if others did or not, I'm not 100 % sure that the compressor is the only leak in the system. A vacuum test is not an accurate test for refrigerant leaks. We use a nitrogen and hydrogen leak testing system to find leaks in ***********. To answer the accusation that we removed the refrigerant out of this vehicle. NO WE DID NOT!!! "I took my truck to *********** Change , they did an AC service on my ***** and no leaks was found. He (*****) did say the freon was low enough to cause problems."

I dropped my 2012 Infiniti F35 off at Guthrie's Auto Service a (NAPA authorized dealer) @ 11:45 am 11/29/21 to be checked for running hot. Business hours 8-5 M-F. At 4:01pm Mike called and stated I had a busted radiator and they could repair it. I requested to see & keep my old radiator. On November 30th Mike calls @ 8:27am states my car is ready. The bill was $1020.44. I paid by phone not thinking about getting screwed. After picking up car I noticed it wasn't put together like it was when I left it I ask to see my old radiator Mike said it was in junk pile he would try to find it? I called Napa, Infiniti Dealership, ************ service in Cullman & *************** service in Cullman NAPA radiator $176.00-Infiniti Dealership to do the repair $547.67-*** to do repair $467.29- ****** $424.59. I called on 12/2/21 spoke with Terry asked why I was overcharged he stated that was what the book says to charge. I stated aren't you suppose to charge based on how many hours it takes to do job? Mike called me on 11/29/21 @ 4:00 pm to tell me he could fix it and @ 8:27 am on 11/30 /21 he calls and tells me it's ready I know they don't work overtime so it only took one hour to repair. I was charged $540.59 for one hour of Labor. $480 for parts. Terry told me he would have Mike call me to resolve this matter and hasn't. Invoice# ***** Dated 11/30/21 I want to see my old radiator to see if I needed a new one or if it could have been repaired I requested this before the job was done.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/12/22) */ Consumer was quoted what she requested when she left vehicle. (2012 Infiniti FX35- just bought, drove 400 miles, then started steaming under hood. Adding coolant, running hot. tune up? Courtesy inspection.) Consumer decline to do tune up consisting of spark plugs and fuel system cleaning. Approved radiator replacement at a cost of 1020.44. Consumer requested to see old radiator after she paid invoice online. Radiator was retrieved from scrap and sat by door of shop inside building and consumer picked up car after hours and left other vehicle on property till later that weekend. Old part is still waiting on pick up. Consumer bought a 2012 FX 35 with 228k miles it broke down in 400 miles. In response to vehicle being repaired @ 8:27 am on 11/30/2021 work was not started until after 8 am on 11/30/2021. Ticket was invoiced at 5:28 pm on 11/30/2021.Radiator was ordered at 3:03 pm on 11/29/2021 and delivered at 8:47 am on 11/30/2021. It took all day on 11/30/2021 to complete the job that was approved by consumer. Consumer called on 12/6/2021 with the complaint that they thought they had been taken advantage of. Consumer stated that they had called shops in Cullman and the Infiniti dealership and all said that we charge them much more than we should have. I called Wilson's Auto Service to which consumer said gave a quote of 424.59 he said he called with price and did not get an answer and did not leave a message also was not called again. Infiniti dealer did not return my call to them either. Infiniti's published radiator list price is $749.23. I did a search on google and found a service named Repair Pal they list the repair at 625.00 to 1145.00. I offered consumer $100.00 refund and it was rejected. I know in this consumers eyes we mistreated them. Nobody here forced them to approve repair of this vehicle. They have declined repairs in the past and declined some repairs on this visit. I will still refund $100.00 or the difference between our invoice and a computer generated estimate complete with consumers name and vehicle vin number from the Infiniti dealer. That includes parts and labor, pressure testing cooling system, A/C recharge and cooling system flush.
