On February 15, 2022, L & L Moving company move my furniture from my old address at **** ***** *** ********* ** *****. I paid them $*****. On February 16, I noticed my marble top to my wood table is missing. I called talked to ******. She stated to give it 30 days that my marble top may appear. I waited until March 16, I called talked to ***** the manager. I sent him a text of a picture of my marble top, table, and the price. On March 22 I asked for an update with *****. He stated that someone has to come to my new apartment to look around and make sure the marble top is not there. On March 30 I still didn't have an updated. No response. I called ask to speak to the owner. No call from the owner. I called multiple times every week. No update and no one reached out me. On April 20, a representative called stating he was heading to my apartment to look around for the marble top. He came looked every from underneath the beds, closets, storage area, and behind doors. The representative stated he didn't find anything, and someone will contact me. I called on May 4th for an update, ****** stated that the owner filed insurance claim, and someone will call me back. No response. I called back on May 20th for an update. I talked to ****** again, she stated that they need to go back to the home I moved from. I told her that I don't have access to that home anymore. She decided to hang up in my face and I haven't heard back from them yet. I feel as though I am being discriminated against and being interrogated like I am a criminal. They have attacked my character, treated unfairly and poorly. This is unprofessional and still no resolution.Business response

Some of this true, while other parts are very exaggerated. And key facts are missing.
We have requested from day one to have access to the loading address to look for this table top, as my employees (not subcontractors) stated they did not see nor did they move the table top. The relevance to state that these are not subcontractors, are due to the fact that most moving companies sub out workers, we do not, these are our employees who work for us daily throughout the years.
it is important that you understand that the piece we are talking about is about 4 foot wide by 8 foot long by 2 inches thick. This isn’t just something you could miss place.
We were moving her from a bad relationship. We were denied access back into the home of the first address. We felt that this was something he was holding from her out of spite with their personal situation. We can not be held responsible for something that we did not move.
We never stated we had filed and insurance claim, because we didn’t feel responsible. We have even spoken to friends of hers that he called in and explained the situation in hopes to help understand what took place and why we feel no responsibility.
We hate very much that the table top is missing, but we never loaded it to begin with to be held responsible. In this industry we know that things happen sometimes and it how you take care of it that makes your customer satisfied or whole again. In this case, we felt there was nothing more we could do.
Thanks,

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because:L & L Moving company are lying. They are not telling the truth at all. The movers actually had to go make a 2nd trip to pick up a couple items from the home. I asked them specifically if they moved ALL items from the home. The movers stated that is why they went back a 2nd time to look around to make sure ALL things were moved. Why would I want a table moved without my marble top? L & L moving company has given me SUCH a hard time about a top. They haven't made it right. I have called them many times to get this resolved. They did not initially request access to my previous home until after they came and searched my new home. I don't have access to my previous home anymore.
****** DID STATE to me over the phone that an insurance claim was filed. She told me to wait a few weeks for the claim to go through. I called back weeks later. ****** stated that the insurance claim has not gone through, got upset, and hung the phone up in my face.
I am going to reiterate, I have ABSOULUTELY no reason to purposely have a table with no top and making claims against the company. The table is antique and a family heirloom. It is a great sentimental value and price value.
I am honest Christian Woman and would never lie about anyone or a company. I have only taken it this far after months of trying to work with L & L moving company.
I am VERY upset, stressed, and having anxiety over this moving company. It is completely unfair as a paying customer that I am treated like a criminal.
This is so unprofessional and ridiculous that a company that I chose to move my items securely would do a 1st time customer such as this.
Sincerely,
