Took my mom's car in for an oil change and after a few hours the car shut off on the highway. Not knowing why I paid to have it towed home. Once the tow truck arrived he showed me the oil that had leaked out on the tow bed. I called the company they came down to evaluate the issue I was told the plug came out which caused the oil leak. They towed the car back to their facility and after a week of no communication, I stopped in to see what was going on. I was then informed that the motor was dead and they would have to replace the motor. They have not given me any time frame as to when this would be done nor did they bother to contact me when they found out the damage to let me know what was going. I would like my vehicle repaired ASAP and to be reimbursed for my tow and this inconvenience of not having my vehicle

Nov 2021 I visited Express Oil Change (EOC) regarding a coolant leak & temp gauge concern with my secondary vehicle. After inspecting under my ************** the head mechanic (**) stated that I need to replace the cooling system. I was informed that the ** would be out for surgery a few weeks or so & saw this downtime ideal to also include work orders for minor jobs Id been pushing aside. Mar 3, 2022 I showed up for the scheduled pickup of a completed car I thought. I was expectedly billed $1,977.91 for the cooling system, & the additional work orders were simply unacknowledged, until I asked & then they casually apologized for not getting around to it.The next morning my car began leaking from the same area. I drove it back to **** ****** made corrective adjustments, but this time they failed to start my car. They kept trying, said it was too low on gas. Once refueled, they began attempting more while pushing the pedal until rattling occurred. "What's that?" I asked. "-That would be the sound of engine damage my friend."The next week I was told on the fly I need to replace my engine for $10K EOC quoted. I became uncomfortable with immediately agreeing so I asked the ** if a gen. ******* could be included in this process. I was berated with questions like What for? etc. & my concerns were invalidated: Im the general ******* ****** are business partners" the head mechanic recanted after I reasonably challenged him on his claims.I began audio recording because I realized I couldnt trust them amid this shadiness. I visited the location to receive assistance from someone other than the ** but was kindly asked to leave the area after I began attempting to speak with other employees. My calls for a supervisor were intercepted by him and/or deflected without callbacks. After contacting EOCs 2nd location for help, I was vigorously apologized to, informed the ** was no longer with the company, & that my vehicle would be towed to their location...(cont'd)

I am the actual Director of Operations for Express Oil Change. I personally have been in contact with ****************** myself on numerous occasions. The issues he is experiencing are due to the original overheating issue that he had with his vehicle. Upon speaking to **************** was very empathetic of his situation and offered a resolution that was more than fair in this matter. I informed him that as an act of good faith I would help him locate a used replacement engine, allow him to purchase that engine at our reduced cost and I would have our ASE Master Technician install the engine which calls for ***** hours of my technicians labor time and I would provide the install at ZERO cost to ******************. ******* agreed that this was a very fair resolution and then began to ask if we could swap out some marketing propaganda in exchange for some of the cost of the engine. I told him we could not do this type of quid-pro-qo type of business but that my original offer still stood. ******* stated he would need some time to gather the money to purchase the engine. I said okay and since that time almost a year ago, we have stored his vehicle at our location at no cost for storage. He will occasionally call out of the blue and tell me he is still working on trying to get the funds together. In some of our most recent conversations I have told him to apply for our Express Oil Credit Card and use the 12 Month differed interest option, he tried and originally was declined. Later was then approved for a much lessor amount than needed to make his purchase. My most recent exchange with ***************** was that he had an uncle who was willing to put the money up for the repairs but he needed a written estimate explaining that we would only charge for the motor and that we would waive the install cost, which ***************** was provided with via the email he gave us. If this matter begins to turn in the direction it looks like it may go wew ill be forced to go back in and add storage fees for keeping this vehicle locked on our property under video surveillance. Our original offer still stands for ***************** to purchase the engine I found for him at roughly $3,000 and my technician would provide the install labor at no cost to ***************** so we can move down the road from this matter. I am saddened to see that ***************** has completely omitted any of mine and his conversation from his complaint filed with you.

8/18/2022 - I stopped to get an oil change and asked the technician as soon as I arrived if they had my oil filter because it is not one that is regualrly stocked (2010 VW Touareg TDI). I asked because my wife was at an appointment and I had limited time. The technician said yes they had the filter. I entered the bay and Express Oil Change drained the oil from my vehicle and then came to me and told me they did not have my filter. The manager, *****, said he would go get the filter from the dealership. I am not sure why he did not go to the auto parts store nearby. He took roughly an hour to get to the dealership and back (it is an 11 minute drive each way). I checked in at roughly 1:30 pm and checked out at 3:33 pm. I expressed my frustration about the fact that I had asked if the filter was in stock and ***** took it upon himself to get the technician over next to my car so they could both lie to me about what the technician said. It was extremely disrespectful. The other issue was the cost of the oil. I was not told how much the oil would be until it was time to check out. At the time of checkout I was charged $153.07 total which included $106 for oil ($27.99 for the "6 quart limit"; $33.60 for the actual oil; and a $45 ************************* charge). I told ***** that even the dealership charges less. He was very disrespectful about my observation saying is essence that my concern did not matter. I requested an accomodation at the time of check out and was refused. I then contacted the corporate office about *****'s behavior and the unreasonable charges and have not received a response. I would like the company to issue a refund of my charges ($153.07) as a courtesy for the extremely rude behavior that ***** and his technician engaged in. Thank you, ***************************

On April 7, 2022 Oil Express damaged my car performing a routine oil change. I had to take it to another mechanic for repairs due to them unable to fix it. I spent approximately $360 to get my car functioning again due to them blowing the fuse block. I spoke to the location, their district manager ***************************** multiple time stating I would receive a refund in the mail. I have yet to receive it. I then proceeded to call their corporate office in ********** twice as well as submit an online complaint with no follow up. I am wanting to be reimbursed for the money I spent due to their negligence while performing a routine oil change.

On Friday, February 25, 2022, I went to Express Oil Change on Main Street in ******, ******* to have my oil changed. While driving the vehicle on Sunday morning, the oil started to leak from my car and my car quit. I had to call a tow truck and pay $95. I contacted EOC on Monday, February 28, 2022 to express my concerns. They then had my car towed to their **********, ******* location for evaluation. They then told me that it wasn't their fault. I had no prior issues with my car or my motor until after having the oil changed. I've requested for them to fix my vehicle with no expense to me, whatsoever. They are not taking ownership for what they've done to my vehicle. I have no transportation due to this, which means I have no way to get to work. I asked if they'd reimburse me the money for the tow fee that I paid as well. I am just really upset with the way things are being handled. They're trying to pass the blame. I just want them to fix my car and fix it in a timely manner. I get my oil changes, as needed, and there were no issues with my car until after the service was done to my car.
