Purchased Kenmore Elite dishwasher on 06/01/2022 for $1199.88. Paid $349.99 for protection plan and paid $250 for local delivery (I live 2 miles from the store). The delivery included the installation. When the dishwasher was installed by the Sears delivery man, he dented the door. As instructed on the receipt, I called the store immediately and was told that there was not another dishwasher like it. I was advised to wait several months and pretend like I dented it myself and declare on my protection plan. I did not take the advice of the store, but instead declared on the protection plan as soon as I could get a service professional to my house. The door replacement was requested the the technician, and I thought the new door would be shipped to my house. Unfortunately, the door never arrived and Sears decided to change the designation of the problem to a warranty issue rather than a protection plan issue. I was told that I needed to pick out a new dishwasher and was given $1079 to spend on the Sears website (even though my original dishwasher was $1199.99). I have left out all the many phone calls I had to Sears to settle this. A ******* dishwasher somewhat comparable to my Kenmore Elite was delivered today The delivery man from RXO was not scheduled to install the dishwasher--just deliver and pick up the damaged dishwasher. Because my current dishwasher was still connected, he was not able to take it with him. I have a plumber coming tomorrow and RXO will have to send another agent to pick up the Kenmore Elite. I called Sears warranty team again about this and was informed that they would not provide an installation for my dishwasher. I informed them that I paid $250 already, and they claim that installation from Sears costs $138. Since I live only two miles from the store and bought an in-stock dishwasher, I can only assume I was over charged by my local store. Requesting protection plan refund ($350) and delivery fee refund ($250)
