      Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience with picking up my car. The receptionist who is the owner's brother was extremely unhelpful and flat out rude. as she said, we don't need customers like you.

      The like me part was due to the fact they use a third party check site to verify funds and checks otherwise you have to pay a credit card processing fee. This company/site was not able to verify my check due to my business being new at a local bank. I suggested that they waive the credit card feed since their vendor was not able to verify the account due to know fault of my own. She refused and said that it wasn't their fault and so I would need to incur the fee; however, this is their contracted provider? She them told me to go get cash from my bank. From there, I countered with her calling my local bank to verify the funds there and she of course refused.

      I ended up paying it via credit card but definitely should not have had my car held hostage because their vendor was not able to provide verification due to the age of my checking account. It also says on the slip that Auto Craft's "decision to not accept your check", which is the direct opposite of what the rude lady said.

      Bottom line, beware of the customer service and policies of this company. If they tell one customers they don't need them, I am sure they will tell others. Oh and by the way, the credit card fee was $** some dollars. definitely not worth losing a customer over especially since this was an anomaly and a simple phone call would have easily resolved the situation.

      He was provided multiple options: cash, debit card (to which he stated he did not have a debit card) or if he pays through a credit card, the fees would apply. He was very very belligerent himself with a very condescending attitude. A quick lookup of his company on the internet showed that the company (which had the company name on the check) was dissolved in December of 2021. This makes me very leary of why the check actually was not accepted by Telecheck. While our office manager did get very strong with him, she has been in this position for the company since 2003 and she's only had 2 other cases where she was provoked like this customer did to be combative. We will not refund the fees, that is billed and collected by our processing company, not us.

      Several points to make here -

      - The office manager who is the owners sister never mentioned anything about looking up my company. I believe this to be a total lie and if she did, she looked up the wrong company
      - The funds could easily be verified with a phone call to my local bank which she refused
      - I should not have to pay an extra fee because Telecheck was not able to verify my information because I recently changed banks.
      - The bottom line is a consumer, I followed the process told to me in advance and brought a check as instructed, At no point did anyone tell me about the Telecheck process.
      - As we all are aware, this company chooses to contract with Telecheck for this service. It is not my fault or responsibility to make sure that their information is up to date.
      - Bottom line is what the customer tries and follow your process and when it has a gap, you should own it and eat the 2.5% fee of roughly $40.00
      - The fact that this company won't consumers beware, you have the facts and now understand their customer service approach to handling issues with their contracted verification which is done by choice.
