Contract was signed June 2023 for a 40x40 pole barn. Contractor did not have proper license and was shut down by the city. Now I have 8 metal trusses hanging unsupported 20' in the air. I have tried to work it out with contractor and now he will no longer respond. Job was left with less than half completed. It is now a danger due to the unsupported trusses.Initial Complaint

We hired a contractor (Purdy Restoration Services - Keith Purdy) to do a renovation on our bathroom. We had a written contract ($20K) and a deposit of $10K was given prior to any work being done. Work was suppose to be completed in 6 weeks. From Day 1, the performance was lacking the professionalism as a licensed General Contractor. Purdy Restoration Services repeatedly refused to communicate on basic scheduling and tasks, failed to supervise subcontractors and employees and work performed substandard. Project is incomplete, (3 months later). We discovered that he is not Licensed in Alabama nor did he obtain the necessary permits (electrical, plumbing and construction) from the city of Gulf Shores. Alabama Home Builders Licensure Board have opened an investigation. He is continuing to work in the surrounding area. We do not want this to happen to others.
