My name is *********************** and I hired a contractor to put a roof on my rental house in ********** and told **** the owner that I wanted to make sure he had a permit and that it was inspected. I also told him I wanted pictures ( since I'm not there, I live in *******) which he is suppose to do for the inspection anyways.He assured me he would take pictures.He did put on the roof all except my front porch. I bought extra shingle to cover that and was getting someone else to build my front porch. He put the extra shingles (4 bundles) on the front porch.Well when the roof was done and I paid him I asked him to have it inspected and I wanted to see the pictures. He always told me he was taking pictures so I believed him.He told me the lady that was taking the pictures didn't get good pictures and they didn't turn out so he can't get the roof inspected because they need pictures to make sure all was done correctly.He told me that if I write a letter stating that I saw him put the roof on and was 100% satisfied they would give me a final inspection report. I called the Mobile inspector and he told me he didn't advise me to do that because I didn't see him and I would have no leg to stand on if it wasn't done right. He also said **** told him the iPad was stolen and he told me the pictures didn't turn out right, so he lied about that! I have a roof that I have already paid for and I'm not sure any wood was replaced or if the previous shingles was even removed because I have no pictures.Also he took my shingles that was on my porch. I asked him and he said yes. I said please bring them back and he said he would. I had to ask a couple of times and he finally brought open half empty shingles back. I text him and said these are not full bundles.He said it was until I sent him a picture. He said he would bring some more out but I have yet to see anymore. He should have never taking them in the first place.
