      Wore-Out Mattresses: I have never complained about "bad mattresses" during a lifetime of business and leisure travel, until renting (9/2022) a 2-bdrm condo by Vacasa in Gulf Shores, AL. Vacasa subsequently provided a 13% refund, but it was hardly enough to compensate us for a wk of having to tolerate very comfortable and wore-out mattresses. After pre-paying, seemingly nothing can be done once you arrive at your condo, and discover the poor condition of furnishings. Given the deterioration of the mattresses taking place over time, prior guests had doubtlessly complained, but Vacasa apparently chose not to resolve the issue, presuming that offering a token refund would placate most lodgers.

      Worst experience ever very unprofessional did not care that I had medication stollen Maintenance was in our room without our knowledge came back from a day trip and he was in our bathroom holding a screwdriver couldn't get in until after five none of the codes worked didn't tell us we had to pay to park it was a complete disaster and a total waste of $1100 next time I'll go back to Destin where everything goes right

      Very unprofessional, I just got back to my room to change after a long day of shopping and there's a man in my bathroom!!!! Meyers rental did not give me a notice about a man coming into my room. I was in my underwear by the time I noticed he was in my bathroom. I'm so upset and when I called to complain about how this man could've been really hurt because they didn't take the proper steps to notify me at all. Not one call, not one txt. Since I arrived there's been several things I haven't liked. First you have to pay to park at the hotel. Second due to the office being empty I wasn't able to get into my room until 5:30 when checkin is 4. Third thing is nobody told me codes to the gates, I had to find out from someone else renting a room at the lighthouse and he said they didn't tell him any codes either. So basically the people renting have to spread the code because the office just doesn't give you that information. My experience with meyers and the light house condominium has been very stressful and displeasing. I wanted to stay another night but after I was practically naked and walked into my bathroom to find a full grown man looking at me in my underwear I will never come back to the lighthouse. I refuse to give them another cent. I paid 1100$ for my room and since I've arrived it's been very unprofessional. Also just now we lost power and water, it's just one thing after another. The 2 Meyers associates I talked to about my complaints were very rude and seemed irritated at me for calling about these problems.

      Let me start by staying I was never even able to stay in the condo I booked because of Hurricane Ida. However, everything that has transpired since then has been a nightmare and I will NEVER book through this website again. When booking thru their page you are prompted to select the travel insurance (I'm assuming they get commission for being part of the scam that is their "travel insurance"). Living in south Louisiana my entire life I know all about hurricanes and hurricane season, so my travel companion and I selected the travel insurance...after all the Meyer website clearly states " Uninhabitability of your primary residence or your traveling companion's primary residence caused by natural disaster" is a covered reason for refund of cancellation of your trip...WRONG! My home was deemed uninhabitable due to loss of water, power, and cell phone signal. Not to mention I was due to leave this condo on Monday, Aug 30 and all the roads home were closed!!! I am still in a battle with this insurance company and have sought legal representation for this scam!! In the meantime, I stumble upon an entire Facebook thread of people who are dealing with the same thing as me. However, some of them have been granted to postpone their trip thru Meyer for a later date. So I call them and ask why I was not offered this same option, after all they recommend this insurance company who is refusing to pay for anyone's claim involving hurricane Ida. My phone conversation with their "customer service representative" if that's what you want to call him was almost comical in nature. He was extremely rude. Told me there was nothing he was going to do to help me. That the people who's trip was allotted to be postponed to a later date must have spoken with someone else, but as far as coming from him I was out of luck. AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE CAN I TELL YOU!! When I ask to speak to a manger or someone in the business of actual customer service, he refused to allow me to do that and said he would have someone else call me back another day....that was 3 WEEKS AGO!!! I have left Facebook reviews and emailed and no one has reached out at all. To say you should stay as far away from this company and their "travel insurance" company would be an understatement. Do not waste your hard earned money on this company!!!!

      We rented a house from Meyer Vacation Rentals in Orange Beach, Alabama in August 2021. We paid over $6,000.00 for a house on the beach for 5 nights that was NOT ready to be rented. Half of the windows in the house had hurricane shutters that were closed BLOCKING our views we paid so much money to enjoy. We complained about it but this was NEVER fixed. Half of the TVs in the house did not work. A repairman came out and fixed some of them. The ice maker did not work. One bathtub did not work (water did not drain). A couple of the bathrooms had mold in them. Most of the pots and pans were disgusting (had not been cleaned properly and had something growing in them, so to speak). The house wasn't as clean as we had expected for the price. The bed linens and towels were clean, thankfully. The back door leading to the beach, did NOT lock. A piece of wood was used to stop someone from entering the house from the beach. That was NOT safe at all. The ice maker and tub were fixed a couple of days after we arrived. The house should have been INSPECTED prior to our stay but it was NOT. The failure of Meyer Vacation Rentals to do their job ruined our vacation. I asked Meyer to return the fee they charged us but they ignored our request. Also, we were forced out of the house one day early because of Hurricane IDA and we asked Meyer to return the rental fee for that one day and again, they did not have the courtesy to respond. I do NOT recommend using Meyer Vacation Rentals when looking for a rental in the Orange Beach/Gulf Shores area. I certainly do NOT recommend renting the house named "Skane".

      We stayed at fort fun west this past week. The beach is beautiful is the only thing that went right about the trip! BEWARE OF THIS HOME! air conditioning has a lock on it. You can only adjust to what it is set at. It will adjust again after a few hours and it ends up being 80 for 2 hours at a time. The ac actually stopped working for 4 days while we were there. The motor was bad in the unit. Electrician comes out and says the breaker box is one of the worse he has ever seen and is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Our power went out 3 times. Meyer service was terrible. I call and the person yelled at me was not going to move us so we would have ended up sleeping in the dark with no air had it not been for the maintenance guy doing his best to get us power. MEYER DOES NOT CARE WHAT CONDITIONS ARE FOR YOU! Aslong as they get the money!!!!! Do not stay here!!!! Or with any meyer home or condo!!!!!! Worse company I have ever dealt with in my life !!!!!
