Unfortunately, we had a bad experience with All State Concrete. We had a big job to get done and ***** assured us that they could do it and have done bigger jobs in the past. I wish I could post pictures to show how poorly the job was done. The driveway was not level at all. When it rains, we have a large 20 foot + pool of water at least 2" deep. There are multiple areas where the concrete was "swept" but not finished properly so it is rough and again makes a dip causing water to hold in the area. We needed quite a few loads of concrete and there was a long lag in time where one truck came before the next one, causing the already poured concrete to set making the driveway not flow and causing a large crack. Yes, we know driveways will crack. But we had 3 major cracks the very next day. We spoke with ***** about the water pooling problem, and he had one of his crew come and slice along the area to have it drain. This did nothing. He also said that he could do nothing about the cracks. There are multiple areas over the entire driveway where the broom finish was not done correctly, and you can see and feel the rocks from the concrete exposed. It has been almost a year since this happened and I am finally writing this review because with each rain storm we are sick of seeing those large pools of water. I usually don't like to write negative reviews, but this is to help and warn anyone who is considering using All State. I have many photos to prove my claim and would be glad to share them if there was a way to post them here. We wish we could have received some money back for the terribly poor quality of work, but ***** said he could put a drain in to help the problem. But since all of the work that was already done was so poor, we did not want him to come back and mess anything else up and do more damage. As a former contractor, I have seen many concrete pours, but never have seen one done this poorly by someone claiming to be a professional.Review from William L

I contracted with All State Concrete to do some driveway repair and additions. I did read the BBB comments/complaints. After my experience with this company, it left me wondering why they were complaining. They gave me a free and true estimate on the spot. They kept me informed on when they would start and the completion date. Their work was very good. They showed up daily with all the tools they would need. The work crew was amazing. The boss man could leave and they knew what they needed to do and kept the job going. I like to keep my grass unharmed and they went out of their way to not hurt that at all. In my opinion if you need concrete work done you would not do yourself any favors by reading the complaints and not giving them a chance. I did check with other folks in my area who has used them and absolutely no negative comments at all, all of these folks are strict with their work and demand a lot. They did get new work from one of these people while they were working here.. Mark me down as a totally satisfied customer . They do professional work.

Steve with All State Concrete did exactly what he said he would do when he said he would do it. That seems to be rare at times these days. We had a floor 80‘ x 50‘ poured In our community center in downtown Newton, Alabama. The 4000 square-foot floor has been viewed by many people and all have commented on the quality of the work. We also had two driveways, stairs, and a ramp poured. They are fast and efficient with competitive pricing. His work is beautiful and smooth. We are now having him lay a block wall 50 foot wide x 20 foot tall. It is straight and true. All State Concrete will continue to be the company we choose for all our future concrete projects. I would highly recommend this company for any of your concrete needs.All State Concrete Finshing Response

Talked with Steve when he was appraising a job for a neighbor about some driveway repair. Liked what and how he was describing his work. He also had the recommendation of some others in the area I know. Asked him to come look at my driveway next, which he did as soon as he finished with my neighbor. He let me talk through the issue and basically come up with the solution myself without trying to pressure the job into something bigger. We ended up getting the driveway replaced also. My other neighbor came up and scheduled him for some work at the same time. So, he got 3 jobs based on stopping out for one referral! They got paid half up front (not unusual) with remainder upon satisfactory completion. They gave a rough estimate for starting date (again not unusual) and described the materials he used and the size of the crew he would bring. They showed up close to their scheduled date which they kept updating with my neighbor. They immediately went to work and didn’t take a break the entire time they were here. We provided lunch a couple of days and had to force them to stop a few minutes to eat and take water breaks. The crew was very dedicated and worked smoothly as a team. Come to find out there were two Father & Sons teams withing his crew. Was also impressed that they had the proper tools to do the job quickly and precisely. Overall, all three of us are very pleased with the job done, work ethic shown and the willingness to answer any and all questions asked by the 3 of us. They were very pleasant and chatty about everything they did and the equipment they were using. I don’t understand the negative revues I saw, none of those qualities were displayed here. From what I understand, those come from an ongoing family feud situation. Some of the perils of dealing with family members in a business. I would highly recommend for any concrete/construction needs, large or small and easily rate as 5 stars.All State Concrete Finshing Response
