      I am writing to file a FORMAL COMPLAINT regarding the Inverness, Alabama location and their failure to communicate the Planet Fitness gym status with me regarding Covid and FREEZING my account during the time of a global pandemic. I recently visited the Planet Fitness located at ******************************, AL XXXXX in January 2022. I had not been in the gym since Covid-19 began in 2020. Initially there was a small delay when scanning my membership card because it had been so long since I had been to the gym. I proceeded to advise the front desk worker that it had been over a year since I had been in due to Covid. The worker advised they offered a freeze on account memberships during that time and I could have taken advantage of that opportunity. I advised him I knew nothing about it. He then asked for my email address and verified they had the wrong email address on file and proceeded to change it. I immediately asked him for an adjustment for that year+ since it was an error on their part and I never received ANY communication regarding the clubs status during Covid. He then called his club manager over and he explained he could adjust a month of credit for the inconvenience, This was unacceptable then and still is. I requested his supervisor's name and he referred me to ****** ******. ****** did nothing and referred me to the district manager. This is where I am now and to date *** ******** offered 3 months of credit instead of one. I am beyond furious with Planet Fitness and the way my membership was handled. I want a credit from April 2020 - January 2022 for the time in which Covid-19 had the entire nation closed down. Other members were able to receive a freeze but I was not and it was not my fault. My account was drafted every month without fail during Covid and now no one wants to adjust for their mistake. I will resume payment for membership if this is cleared up.
