We purchased a lift chair recliner on 03/26/2023 for my husbands sister. The chair was delivered to her on 04/11/2023 at 7:45 am. The delivery driver unboxed the chair and assembled and plugged it in. The chair work at that time. Approximately 10 minutes later his sister called and said the chair would not go down. She checked the plug and nothing happened when she tried to let the chair down. She waited until 9:00 am to call the store to make them aware of the issue. She was directed to customer care (***************************) who advised her that Ashley would send out parts to fix the problem. My sister ***** asked if they could just come and pick up the chair and let her get another one. She was told by the same customer service lady to allow them to send the part out. Being new to ****** furniture, she assumed they would service her immediately. The first part came on 04/14/2023. This was not the case. Please note a service technician never called or came to check out the chair. In the next days my sister ***** was told that they couldnt talk with her because my husband is the buyer. My husband called and advised Ashley to talk with his sister because the chair was for her. They did start communicating with his sister but ***** would not give her any information about when the service/repair would take place and was told that another part was order and it would be the middle or end of May before it would be here.04/27/2023 and no further action taken by Ashley. My husband called today 04/27/2023 and speaks to CS and asked for the store manager and was told she was at lunch at 1:00 pm and would call back. No return call. We both called on speaker phone at 3:30 pm and the *** said the manager was in n a meeting. We requested to have the chair returned to the store and the acct be closed. ********,*** said she was putting in the request to have chair picked up and it would be **** business days for review. We asked for email verification of request for return. No email!!
