      I have been dealing with numerous maintenance or should I say lack of maintenance being done issues since my moving in in November of 2020 my stove went out and I went without a stove for about a month and a half which means I had to purchase meals for myself and three children the apartment was not clean when I moved in there for I had to clean the apartment before I could fully move in the toilet seats were broken it took me 3 months to get a new one the other one I had to replace myself my refrigerator has went out three different times it leaks water which gets on the top shelf rooms anything that's not in a plastic container water also runs down the back of it down to the bottom causing mold to grow the carpet was not shampooed we did not have a maintenance man for quite some time nor a office manager in October of 2021 when I went to pay my rent I attached a two-page letter with some of the things wrong with the apartment again requested that they be done still nothing and up to this date there's been nothing so as of last month being July I started looking for another place on August 2nd I wrote my 30-day notice to vacate letter gave it to the office manager on the 4th I explained to her that I did not have the rent money right now but that apartment had not been properly maintained that I would leave it in clean condition but that I was requesting a refund of my security deposit in full or for it to be applied towards my August rent and I would pay the difference in the two. she was supposed to get back with me and let me know however on the 8th I come home and on my door is a letter saying I'm in violation of my lease that I've not paid my rent and that if payment was not received in 7 days that they would start the eviction process I had every month since I've been in that apartment paid my rent on time which can be verified through their records
