Had my 2014 Ford Explorer repaired after being rear ended. When I received my vehicle back the replacement parts did not align at all, lift gate popped loudly when opening, vibration when driving, back up sensors worked sporadically, and back up camera kept giving error to contact dealership. Even with the damage before having repaired, the backup camera and sensors worked and lift gate did not make noises and functioned properly. After contacting ***** about the work being less then acceptable, I was confronted with utter disrespect and a complete lack of professionalism. I was yelled at numerous times unwarranted. I gave the opportunity for Corlett to take my vehicle for an alignment because ***** thought this would be a solution to my vehicle pulling after having work done to the frame. I knew an alignment was not the issue when my steering wheel and tires were still straight. I was given my vehicle back the same day to be told there was no alignment needed and was asked to pay for it. I contacted my insurance company for advice on how to handle this situation and was told I needed to handle it in small claims court. Also was advised to get the estimates gathered, the pay outs for repairs, and the frame measurements from before the frame pull and after. She also raised her voice stating she did not have these measurements. The damage seemed minimal after the collision but received another estimate from another shop to repair the damage Corlett caused and would cost another $2K just in a visual inspection. Corlett was paid around $5700 for this work.

      Business response

      03/23/2022

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/01/25) */ I learned of Ms. *****'s compliant a day prior to receiving the BBB complaint on Google Review.1/18/22. Ms. ***** called me after picking up vehicle and begin to address issues she had. I may have raised my voice but can assure I told her I wanted to address these issues and get them resolved. She let me pick up her car at her work in Madison and I took it to alignment shop. I drove car and it did not pull but had it aligned. We cleaned the back up camera lens and it worked. After bringing back to her that day at her work I asked if I could schedule a time to address her other issues, she said no and Travelers insurance would be contacting me. The repairs where $5,079.01. She paid $4,238.65 leaving a remaining balance of $840.36 that is unpaid. I am happy to address any issues Ms. ***** has. I am truly sorry she felt She could not work with me. I apologized and will apologize again for raising my voice. Sincerely, Corlett Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/01/30) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I did place a Google review confirming the facts as in my initial compliant against Corlett Collison. My issues began immediately after contacting ***** about my repair concerns. ***** did more then just raise her voice on numerous occasions in trying to resolve my issues. It was more then unprofessional the way she treated her customer and this is why I ultimately did not allow Corlett to rework the vehicle. In fact I did let ***** try to address some concerns by taking my vehicle to be inspected for an alignment. I did however let her know that I believed this was not the issue. She did return my vehicle at the end of the same day. After some more choice conversation and words in the parking lot, she stated the camera had been cleaned and everything was good. This in fact was not the case since my camera stopped working giving an error to contact the dealership and also the unresolved issues with all parts replaced not aligning and rear hatch still popping. The money in repairs ***** received totaled $5708.57. The initial estimate of $1469.92 plus the supplemental damage request of $4238.65. I am still seeking all money paid for repairs, $5708.57, to be returned to me in this case. Business Response /* (4000, 11, 2022/02/09) */ I received $4,238.65 from Ms. *****. She still owes $840.36 for the repairs. I apologized to Ms. ***** for offending her with my voice on the telephone. I apologized and I immediately picked her car up to address her concerns on the pulling of vehicle. It never pulled when I drove it from her work to alignment shop. When I returned vehicle to her that afternoon I told her I would need vehicle back to address popping in liftgate. She told me NO and Travelers INs. Would be contacting me. I cannot return her money. I am very sorry for the situation. Consumer Response /* (3000, 13, 2022/02/14) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I have attached the paperwork I received after picking up my vehicle from Corlett. It states the two payments ***** received from Blue Fire and shows the remaining balance (not sure why there is a balance) to be paid by the insurance company. I assumed the $1469.92 was not included in the supplemental payment of $4,238.65, that was my mistake. If Corlett/***** is due any money, the insurance company needs to be contacted for payment. Also after looking at the attached, the amount ***** is owed from the insurance company if any is $755.36 and not the $840.36 she is seeking. I am still asking for the return of the total paid to Corlett in the amount of $4238.65 + $755.36 (if paid by insurance comany) for damage done to my vehicle.
