Office staff rude and very unprofessional. When calling the office I was told I had insurance issues when it was a staff issue sting she didnt like black patients. I waited a while and tried to reschedule only to be told they werent able to reschedule. This has been my dentist office for over 3 years and I cant believe they would treat patients like this because of their race

Patient presented to the office on 11/13/2023 and our office informed the patient at check in that we had outstanding claims from 2 other visits from 2023 because the insurance we had on file was inactive and asked if she could provide updated dental insurance. At this time she began to yell at the front desk employee "I have the same insurance. I am going to go somewhere else". Our office manager at the time was the staff member helping her. She continued to cause disruption in our lobby and we gave her her records and emailed her xrays to her while she was in the office. We told the patient we would refile the claims with her new insurance information. She did not want to be seen that day and her appointment was cancelled. **note: insurance information was never provided by the patient for ******************************************************* 2021, which is the last time we saw the patient prior to 2023** Patient called on 6/3/24 to schedule an appointment. I simply told the patient "it looks like we had some insurance issues at your last appt with us and you expressed your desire to see another provider for your care" She then yelled at me "I did not have any insurance issues, I have the same insurance" I let her know to follow our office policy, that I would not be able to reschedule her. She asked to speak with the doctor and I let her know that she was not available at that time. She asked who she could speak with regarding this matter and I let her know that I was the office manager if she had any further questions I could help her. She did tell me she would be filing a complaint w/ BBB and she asked my name and I told her to have a great day and she hung up. We are happy to provide any additional information about her previous care to her and provide her an insurance specialist that can help with finding a provider in her network. Let me know if any further information is needed. Our office does encourage all patients to stay consistent with their assigned recall appointments to ensure they are staying on top of their dental care needs.  Thank you so much for your time. -Cassie

      Complaint: 21796489

I am rejecting this response because: the insurance information was given  prior to my visit and this is not true and accurate info. I dont owe them any money and the lady who addressed this complaint I have never dealt with. This office is not given correct information and if there was a disruption why didnt the police department get involved? I conduct myself in a professional manner and do run a corporation myself. I will never allow such conduct from anyone who disrespects me or my employees and would have the individual trespass. I have found a new dental office to call my forever home who values my business and care.

      Sincerely,

      ***********************

Charge my insurance for a crown but refuse to work with me for the 200+ dollars due. The have the crown in office. Im on fixed income they charge my insurance over$1000. The temporary crown fell out the 2nd day it was put in my mouth. Either give me crown or refund my insurance.
