In 2022 I came to Dentistry Today to have my bridge fix. I was told of the plan and the cost. I made the payment before starting treatments. The crown on tooth #** was never done, but was already paid for. I have decided to go with another dentist to complete the because of the low quality of the work they have already performed. I asked them for the money owed for the crown that was never done on tooth #**, but now they are claiming they never received payment for this and that the $1,115 they owe is an open balance. Attached is an invoice that printed for me in January of 2023 showing the money was already paid. Attached also is a conversation in text messages with Dentistry Today.

This patient came in for anterior dental restorations in 2022 and was seen by provider **************************. The patient needed a 7 unit bridge to restore the top anterior teeth at $1115 per tooth, however, due to the biology of the patient, the two anchor teeth #5 and #** were prepped ($2230 service charge) and she was placed in a temporary bridge to test the occlusion and percussion of the bridge to make sure that it would be an acceptable clinical outcome for the patient. The patient was only charged for crown #5 which was paid in full, and #** was left off her bill ($1115, clerical error). The #** crown was placed back on the ledger, the patient "test drove" the bridge and returned after several months, but was unable to complete the bridge due to financial reasons. Our office is now closed temporarily and will not re-open until October/November. It is understandable that the patient would like to seek completion of treatment elsewhere to meet her timeline of care, however, no money is owed to this patient. If we were to proceed forward with a final bridge appliance then the patient would owe us the $1115 she referred to in her complaint. The patient is now going to finish treatment elsewhere, the teeth are still prepped for a bridge, the work has been completed by the dentist, her open balance will reduce to $0 and we will not seek collection action against her.
