Security system in house relied on 3G cell service for monitoring by security company and my own remote connection to the system as my home does not have a land line nor is the security control panel connected to wired internet service. When 3G was phased out in Summer 2022, while notification was provided that my system would need to be upgraded to 4G, I was unable to get the work performed by Halo. Although I periodically tried to schedule service, called, and even stopped by the office, I was met with no responses and no one at the office. This was all during normal business hours as indicated by the business. The result was, about a year of Halo Security charging me for a service I did not have access to and was unable to get them to correct. So, in late 2023, my Credit Card was no longer usable for for Halo Security billing. Now, they are telling me that I owe them $390 for 6 months of no-payment and turning over to collections. Mind you, there have been no previous notifications that I have received in the mail on this issue. Also, again, the service that I had been paying for was no longer available to me due to the 3G phase out and Halo was completely unresponsive to my efforts to have this service outage corrected. In the end, Halo Security seemingly purposely made themselves unavailable and difficult to reach in order to do as little work as possible and continue to get paid by me even though they were not providing the service I was paying for. I find this business practice to be fraudulent, I want nothing more to do with them, and I do not see why I would need to pay them for a service they did not provide.

We have attempted to reach out to the customer on multiple occasions with no answer or return call to our voicemails.  We are still attempting to reach out to the customer to resolve the issue.  The equipment has reached its life expectancy and needs to be replaced.  We are happy to work with the customer to resolve this issue.

I am rejecting this response because:  HALO is misrepresenting their efforts and make no mention of stopping their pursuit of $390 for services that were not provided.  The only time HALO has contacted me on the matter was after payment via my CC stopped, which was after over 1 year of paying HALO for a service they were not providing all while they were not responding to any efforts on my part to correct the service break.  From my perspective, at that moment, our business relationship was terminated.  I want nothing from HALO other than to dissolve this relationship with no money changing hands.  I am not asking for a refund for the over 1 year of payment I provided to HALO while not receiving the service.

My expectation is that I do not pay HALO $390 or any other amount of money since my CC payments stopped and that the relationship be dissolved.

      Sincerely,

      *******************************
