I was denied service today. The appointment was for a follow up with complaints that I'm currently experiencing with my eye vision after an eye surgery by *******************************. An appointment was scheduled for December *******. Today at the check in I was informed about a balance. Nothing was never discussed about a balance that will be due on the day of the appointment. I needed to be seen to see why I'm having these issues with my eyes sight. I was complaining about issues with my eyes and hoping to be seen by ************************ today. Nothing was said about a balance due or the amount due before the visit. I offer to make a payment on Friday but they denied service. I lost 4 hours of work and the amount lost was $112. As a trained Surgeon and to take an oath to take care of patients should be the main focus. My eyes are not healing properly. My surgery cost and charges was over the around of $ *******. My insurance has paid most of it . I feel as though after be operated on by ************************ that she isn't keeping her oath as a medical profession. Help please.Business response

***************** is correct in that she did have eye surgery with ************************ (date of surgery: 5/4/23) however, she is now several months past her post operative period. She was seen in our office for several post operative appointments at which her symptoms were improving post operatively. The appointment in question was a routine follow up appointment that ***************** had previously no showed.
Concerning her balance, she has been notified multiple times (she was sent 5 separate statements - 5/19/23, 6/19/23, 7/20/23, 8/21/23, and 9/26/23) by mail, she was also made aware of her balance at appointments in our office and stated she could pay at a later time but failed to follow through . We probably would have seen her on the day of her appointment however she became rather aggressive with our office staff in our lobby where many pediatric patients were present. The volunteer service driver also became very uncomfortable and stepped out to call the driving service at which point the service reached out to us to see how they could help remove ***************** from the waiting room. We expressed that we are happy to see her and help her when she is willing to set up a payment plan for her unpaid balance. She ultimately left, not making a follow up appointment or paying anything towards her balance.
