      I purchased a Sundance Spa from Johnson Pools. Once the spa came in, Johnson Pools promptly notified me and scheduled a delivery. Per our agreement, I had to arrange for a crane to be on site to emplace the spa. Even though the crane arrived early, the install crew quickly responded and began setting the spa up upon Their arrival. There were no damages and the spa was up and running in a few hours. After a few weeks I noticed a small leak seeping out from beneath the spa. I called Johnson Pools and they sent a repair technician out the next day. The Tech quickly diagnosed the problem, and tightened a line to resolve the issue. Since the spa was still under warranty there was no charge. It has now been a year since my spa was installed and Ive not had any problems. Johnson Pools has educated me and guided me through ever step of maintaining my spa with great success.

      Beware of Johnson Pools. They are unfortunately one these typical companies that will be nice and professional in the beginning and then price gauge you in the end with an additional service charge that you did not approve before hand and when asked the company what needed to be done ahead of time (because we didn't want any surprise charges) they tell you nothing.
      We used Johnson Pools for a new pool liner because the previous owners used Johnson to install the pool. Long story short we got our final bill in for the liner (you pay up front for the liner and the remainder after installation for a total for around $6000)
      Johnson adds an additional $900 for clean out. Apparently we had a lot of leaves and debris that had to be cleaned out....which I don't see how that's possible because we don't have trees in our yard.
      First I emailed Johnson (no response) and my husband called and asked what we needed to do to prepare for the liner to be installed and they said nothing it will all be taken care of for us. We were shocked to have an additional $900 added to our bill because they had to clean the pool out.
      ***** is so rude and unprofessional to deal with. At the end of the day it was our word against Johnson Pools. This is a very dishonest company.
      If they just told me ahead of time that they will charge $900 to clean out a little bit of leaves and debris in my pool then my husband and I would've done it ourselves but they failed to mention that.
      I don't mind paying for services (even though I don't agree or approve of the services ahead of time because unfortunately that's the world we live in) but $900 for cleaning out what they claim to have a lot of debris and leaves in my pool is ridiculous!! Do not trust this company. They will surprise you with an unapproved service and price gauge you in the end.

      This customer signed a valid contract on 2/12/2021 for a replacement liner. Their job was not completed until 5/18/2021 due to scheduling and waiting for their liner. They had more than adequate time to read the contract. Our contract clearly states that cleaning of debris out of the pool will be an additional charge. The contract is not extensive nor in difficult language or small print. It is very exact and to the point. They did not keep the pool cleaned out and the deep end of the pool was almost filled with leaves and debris. We have no clue how the leaves got there, nor when the debris was left for us to remove. There is no easy way of removing debris from a pool other than dipping the debris with nets of 16". This is a long and tedious process thus, why it is a line item on our contract. The debris is usually decayed and in some cases contain dead animals. There is a hazard for people working in those conditions, plus hours of extra work for our company to clean out. Our contract includes replacing their vinyl liner, not cleaning debris out of the pool just to get our job done. Just because customers are purchasing a new pool interior does not mean that we can handle the abuse the pool takes from a lack of care by the homeowner.

      2. These people are trouble and verbally told me they refused to pay the bill. They've had the billed since 5/27/2021. It is July 29, 2021 and they still have not paid the bill. Our office called them and Mr. Hollis said he didn't have his credit card with him. He never called back. I had called last week and he complained about the additional charges. I told him I would check on the additional charges and get back in touch. When I looked at the pictures of the clean out it clearly was a huge mess with a lot of debris. It was a lot more than his statement of a small amount. He has a huge swimming pool in a Lagune Shape and a wide deep end to the pool. If neglected the pool can be difficult to maintain. If they think I was rude, I apologize, but they have no right to have us perform a job and then demand what they intend to pay. Most especially if you have a contract, that should be read and understood.

      We did a quality job in the completion of their project and acted professional through out the entire project. If they give a 1 star to a 44 year old company because they ask for payment of $4,416.00 which is the balance of payment owed to us after 60 days, then they should have to remove this rating because it is false. The payment is still outstanding even as today and they write a letter of complaint?
      I would beware of any company doing business with them in the future. I know I certainly will not and appears they don't intend to pay without force.
