I had to leave the apartment early due to unavoidable issues with the unit as per my last complaint. Since MAA will not resolve the debt without any payment, as a citizen with no real legal power against a giant corporation, I am forced to pay some amount.I am willing to pay $3,500 to settle this debt as well as have it deleted from my credit report entirely. That is all the money I have and all the money I am willing to pay. MAA had someone living in the apartment as of July 2022 when I moved out; I have no photo or video evidence of that to show but I know as the doors were locked and there were someone else's things on the outdoor patio.I have contacted *****************************, the company who is the middle man for this debt and they are waiting a response from MAA Properties. I sent ***************************** the screenshot from our last conversation.I would like, in writing here in a BBB response, that MAA/Colonial Grand at Edge Water agrees to $3,500 which will settle this debt in full and will also remove this debt from both *********************** and ***************************** credit completely. This debt, which we don't agree with, makes us homeless. We do not have any family members to turn too, making it so we literally have no where to go. We are willing to settle this debt as soon as you respond to ***************************** for $3,500.Business response

On June 6, 2023, I received notification that *** **** submit complaint #********. This new complaint is regarding the same situation. I responded on June 6, 2023. ************ rejected the response and the BBB requested additional remarks. I sent a 2nd response on June 7, 2023. ************ rejected the 2nd response but the BBB determined that we addressed the issues within the complaint and closed the case. Please let me know if you additional information. All of our phone calls are recorded and will support the details previously provided.
