i went to see a house on cedar hill in **********, loved it. put in an application in under 5min the receptionist text me said the broker denied it. i ask to speak with the broker and i was told he would call me tuesday. and he did not i called wedneday and finally thursday as i was emailing corporate he called. off start more ***** or ****** was dismissive and rude. he said i didnt deny you the owner did cause of you check stubs, i said ok, i provided a letter along with my bank statement of whats in my account for a home. i am part of a prgram at my apartment where i set 5 goals for my self one i finish them i graduate and they send me a check for all i been paying in rent. called Family Sufficient program. he said we dont care, since the house i was buying fell through i am going the renting route. i told them i can give them deposit and 2 months upfront ****. my apartment complex want me out since i am no longer part of the program. i am have two little ones and we have been living out of boxes since november 2022 when we was given our first closing date to find out i was lied to. no my apartments wants me out asap since i am no longer on the program. the fact that *************/ ****** told me to stop calling because there are others who want this home that i can be answering their call is so wrong on so many levels. he would not even listen to me at all just "it is what it is dont call again". in you are talking to potential renters like that you should not be in the field of dealing with people. i was ignored and talked to very disrespectful. i felt like i was judge by the color of my skin and was not even given a thought or a chance.Business response

The complainant was treated fairly and according to company policy and good business practice. We explained the details of why she didn't get approved and she repeatedly called trying to change the outcome. I asked her to please not call any more, there was nothing I could do to change it. The racial accusation is beyond absurd. Nearly 50% of my tenants are African American.
