*************************** (owner) proposed and was contracted to build an addition to our original home. He held out that he/his company possessed the necessary and appropriate licenses an certifications to accomplish this project. It wasn't until his frequent requests for financial draws and the poor quality of work triggered my suspicions. Repeated requests for a financial review went unanswered for months. Dead Nuts Restoration and Construction does not have a business license, insurance nor the requisite HVAC, electrical, framing, gutters, landscaping, etc. I suffered an injury due to the shabby steps that were placed. Items were also stolen from my yard.Business response

My name is *************************, and I am the owner of Dead Nut Restoration. I received a complaint from a customer through you guys. The work on the person's home that is in the complaint, is near completion. Also, what was wrote in the complaint does not match at all of how this particular transaction went down. So, what was forgotten in his complaint was that he literally added on nearly $20,000 of work during the project outside of the original agreement, which was roughly 50% of the original estimate costs. These were costs that he said he would cover, but when nearing completion and presented with financials, he began to balk at the prices of the change orders. His complaints about licensure, providing financials, and insurance are also wrong. I have made every attempt to remedy his concerns, I have made every attempt to deescalate the situation.
Now, in the interest of just moving on past this we have come to a tentative agreement. I also received this notice right before the weekend. It says I have 10 calendar days to respond, but I didn't even get the notice until 1 day before the 10th calendar day through snail mail. I want to make sure that this doesn't get marked as unresponsive. I would like to remedy this without any further action. I have gone above and beyond to remedy this situation.*************************
