Stop charging me for sewer utilities at a home I sold back in March of 2021. I don't know if my personal banking information was sold or not, but I haven't lived at that address for over three years and they're now charging me for sewer utilities. I don't live or pay a mortgage at that address and I closed my sewer utilities account back in 2021 when I sold the house. I have reported a fraud claim to ***** *********** Someone has compromised my personal banking information and they're charging me for sewer utilities which is fraud.Business response

This is essentially a misunderstanding. **************** apparently sold his home back in 2021 but didn't notify us of that event. Around the same time we switched banks for ACH transactions and there were some issues with the transferring of accounts to the new bank. We did an audit sometime back and discovered this issue. ******************** account was one that had been lost in the transition. We then attempted to start drafting from the account again and when it was rejected we tried contacting him about same not knowing the home had been sold. My billing people were just doing their job in an attempt to shore up the account. Now that we know the home is owned by someone else we will not contact **************** again. It's important to note that no money was drafted from his account after he sold the home. If that would have happened we would gladly refund the amount as we have done many times in the past for other customers. We have always made our ex-customers whole when this has happened. This is one of the reasons OSDS hasn't ever been reported to the BBB since our inception in 2008.
In defense of our company and my employee, we never use foul language or yell at customers no matter how offensive they may get. In this case **************** did both extensively which not only is unprofessional but was harassing to my employee. His acquisition that we are skimming money from him or others and cheating people out of their money is blatantly false and is defamatory. These were remarks he made in his phone call to my employee.
**************** is obviously troubled but by what I really don't know. The BBB report and my response should serve as the end of this issue unless **************** continues to make false remarks about our company in which we will obviously have to take the next logical action.
