On Monday July 17th at 1:00 pm I called Glass Doctor and talked to a young lady to see if they could fix a rock chip in my windshield a 1/16th of an inch in size, she said no problem if it was smaller than a Quarter/coin they could fix it, it would be $69.95. I made an appointment for Tuesday, July 18th at 11:00 am. My wife took my **** Silverado to Glass Doctor at **** Island Circle at 11:00 a.m. and was out at 11:15 am as shown on the receipt. I came home from work later that day and I looked at my windshield expecting the crack to be gone. To my utter disgust, not only did the rock chip look as disgusting as before, when I ran my fingernail across the chip, it was just as deep as it was before the repair. I immediately called Glass Doctor and the young lady connected me to a supervisor. I expressed to him my disgust with the shoddy repair job and the condition of the rock chip unchanged. The supervisor talked to the technician and was told it was filled with resin. I told him if it was properly repaired with resin I would not still have a chip in the windshield that is unchanged and is exactly the same after his so called repair. He said nothing else can be done. I told him if I took this to another glass repair and asked them their opinion and he said they would crack the windshield. I asked him what was the warranty on the repair. He said there wasn't any. I told him I was disgusted not only with his repair but his lack of ethics, to take my money knowing if he didn't fix the problem he would get away with it. I asked to speak to his supervisor. The supervisor called me the next day and said that he would make an appointment to come and see the windshield. I never heard from him. I call Glass Doctor again, was given to another person who said he would contact me to set up an appointment and to this day I have not heard from him. I was passed from person to person and was never contacted back again. I would like my windshield replaced free.Business response

Thank you for reaching out to us with this concern. **************** was explained to, before we began the repair, that repairs are not guaranteed to disappear. Due to the fact that it's already a broken windshield when it was brought to us, we explain that they are never guaranteed to disappear, but the repair is to stop the chip from spreading (which is also not a guarantee because the structural integrity of the windshield has already been compromised). It is possible for them to disappear, but is very unlikely. I have attached information from two different websites on chip repairs. I have also attached our standard chip repair policy.
