      I took my car there for a warranty repair 8-28-2023. After they said my car was fixed, it started leaking really bad and all the lights in the car started flashing, I took the car back to meineke, to find out all the people were fired and they damaged my car badly, they said that they would fix the damages, I still haven't gotten my car back and it is still not fixed. I have tried to reach out to head office, no one is returning my calls, my husband has lost his job behind this and we can't get around and I'm paying a car note and have not had my car for over 2 months and they broke it. The only thing that was wrong with my car before i took it there was a transmission and now it's the transmission, harnest, wires and something with my engine. This is super bad, cause I asked for a loaner and they won't give me one even though they broke my car. I need help, we our out of a car and 1 job.

      On March 25th I went to Meineke while on a family road trip. I had brakes and rotors and calipers that were less than 6 months old. This shop told me i needed new pads after my front side was smoking. I paid for the inspection and pad replacement. After leaving my brakes locked up so I returned to the store where they said my new calipers were bad as well. So i had to pay to replace them. Now less than two months later Im back at home with bad pads, bad rotors because of the bad pads, and my brake lines are needing replaced because thats what the original issue was! So Im out over a grand in unnecessary replacements and repairs. That shop didnt do a proper inspection and had me pay to replace brand new parts that prob didnt need replaced.

      Scheduled new tires and brakes to be installed on a Saturday. Work was performed, but tires had bad shake. Brought the truck back the following Tuesday, but they never did anything with the truck after having it all day. I brought to the truck to another shop that Wednesday, and the shop showed me the tires were defective. I drop the truck off at Meineke Thursday, and tell the manager I want my old tires put back on my truck and a credit for the defective tires. The manager agrees to put my tires back on, but his district manager would have to approve a credit. I agreed and asked him to call me when the truck had the old tires back on. I never received a call. I called the store manager, and he said that the district manager told him to not put my old tires back on, but to wait until he got to the store to look at them himself. I show up at the store around 3 PM to find the district manager had driven my truck to another "non meineke" shop to test the balance of the tires. Upon his return, he did not introduce himself, but proceeded to tell me that all he could do is replace the tires. I told him that wanted a credit for the tires because these are cheap quality tires he sold me. He refused and said he would have 4 new ones delivered the next day (Friday). He said that he would personally call me Friday. I agreed and left my truck there over night. No one ever called me. I called the shop, and they said that the freight truck the tires were on was in a crash and they wouldn't be there until Saturday. Saturday comes and again no phone call. I call at 12 PM, and was told the tires wouldn't be in that day. I told him he had until 2 PM to put old tires back on. I proceeded to pick up the truck and the defective tires. The district manager refuses to call me back, and the store manager says the the replacement tires are still not delivered. They claimed the tires were coming from *********, but I know they are source locally. This was verified by another shop in town.

      See attached invoice for service on my 2011 Silverado for installation of a new muffler and tail pipe on 4/16/2021 on invoice ****** My truck has been back to Meineke ***** a quantity of 3 times now for poor workmanship of the tail pipe. Within days of the original install, a weld broke on the driver side tail pipe. I returned for repair on approximately 4/23. On 7/23 I returned for the same broken weld. After weld repair, the mechanic suggested I spray undercoating on the total 3 welds he repaired as rust protection. While under the truck, I found my brake lines on the driver side were tight against the tail pipe and melted, a safety hazard. On 8/9/2021, I took my truck back to Meineke for proper repair of the installation, which new manager Adam Lathan agreed to do, but has not done so to date and will not provide a status on the repairs or a completion date. My last call with Mr. ****** was on 14 Aug telling me he has paying customers ahead of me and hung up. Please help!

      Consumer Response /* (3000, 9, 2021/08/31) */ After having my vehicle for one week to rework the exhaust system and several unprofessional calls with Meineke manager Adam ******* Mr. ****** called on Monday 16 August,2021 stating my vehicle is ready for pickup. I took my vehicle to an independent auto mechanic for inspection finding the exhaust pipe workmanship in even worse condition. Not only was the tailpipes still touching the shocks and brake lines, several of the tailpipe clamps were left loose creating additional safety concerns. See photos submitted. I then took my vehicle to a reliable muffler shop in Huntsville for an inspection and recommendation. This muffler shop said I should not drive the vehicle in this unsafe condition and recommended replacing the muffler and tailpipes because replace will be easier and less costly than reworking the existing exhaust system. The exhaust system was replaced in about 3 hours exceeding my expectations. I wish BBB to request Meineke refund my original purchase price $1714.44.
