      Servpro of Mobile was hired to take inventory or my home contents after our house fire on 1/3/2021. On 1/19/2021, Police were called to the home to investigate individuals in the home... Police showed up guns drawn. No arrests were made as one of the Servpro project managers showed a Servpro contract. I called Servpro and they advised that they were just working late. There was a police report created, but because I was assured that everything was legitimate; there was no need to review the report. I found out later that tens of thousands of dollars of items were stolen out of the home. The iPad with detailed pictures of our contents and list of items was purposely destroyed. We were also notified by our bank that over $*** worth of checks were being fraudulently cashed from our business checking and personal account. The names on the checks are social media friends with 2 of the Servpro project managers. After finding out about the fraudulent checks... I pulled the police report from 1/19/21. There was only 1 person from ServPro and 3 other non-employees. After I requested proof of what was salvaged and in inventory... it is clear that we were burglarized by the entire crew of Servpro. There are 2 investigations open with the Mobile police department. Servpro stated that there are not responsible for the actions of their employees. Servpro was responsible for securing our personal information and protecting our home contents. instead they stole almost 60% of our high dollar items and cashed fraudulent stolen checks.

      Please do not use this company. They added insult to injury over a period of 6 months after a pipe burst in our home and flooded a good bit of it. They completely lost furniture. They completely ruined many items. They damaged furniture. They said they cleaned rugs (and charged us) for rugs that were clearly not cleaned. When they packed our stuff, they packed it wet!! Then they hauled it off to a warehouse where it sat for months and mildewed. In addition, when they moved our stuff, we were not there and they took many things out of the space. When I expressed concern that they had taken items I didn't know they were going to pack and take, they assured me all my stuff had been packed neatly and they would itemize all of it and get me an inventory. It took the 5 months to get it to me (with me asking weekly). When I finally received it, it was the biggest joke. Just overhead pictures of boxes full or stuff with captions like "kitchen stuff." They delivered some of our boxes in storage to another customer who contacted me directly. We started comparing stories, and she had very similar experiences with ruined furniture, lost items, and struggling to get ServPro to make it right. When they brought us our items back, they were missing some of our major items - a couch, a 9x12 rug. They returned several hours later with all kinds of stories about where they finally found our items. They then proceeded to charge us extra man hours for the time they spent looking for our stuff that should have been inventoried. They also tried to demo a ton of stuff that was not damaged, repeating to us over and over, "Don't worry, insurance will pay for it." Then they charged us for 3 months of storage that we didn't use! You MUST watch their accounting practices. Don't let them deal directly with your insurance company for payment. This company will promise you the moon (big talkers) and deliver you **ll. I am still discovering items that just "went missing."
