My AC unit kicks on and off between one and five minutes one guy told me that it is short cycling. The other guy said its not a problem and the other guy said he did not know. I talk to the manager. ** said it is short cycling, but his workers cannot find any issues or they did not care to spend enough time to figure out the issue.Business response

There is nothing left to finish with this job. The customer's complaint is that the unit is too quickly making temperature and then turning off. We have checked this unit and it is functioning properly, it just makes temperature very fast. The customer's complaint is effectively that the unit is too efficient and is not running long enough in his opinion. This is effectively short cycling but due to efficiency, not a system error. The unit is making temperature quicker than his old unit he is used to because it is a highly efficient unit.Customer response

This company agreed to redo the plumbing in a property that is being renovated. The price was agreed to. Upon completion of the water line installation, the company attempted to charge $2,000 additional dollars for the water to drain out of the property. The plumber agreed that the company should have stated this before the work was started. The business owner refuses to acknowledge and correct this issue. This business has very unethical practices and should not be trusted.Business response

We have no way to respond to a complaint that has no basis in reality. We have reached out to this customer but cannot get a return call. We performed a water re-pipe for his home and at the end we were asked if we would do a sewer re-pipe as well. We quoted for that but he turned down that additional work. I have no idea what this complaint is referencing and after multiple attempts to contact him still cannot reach him.Initial Complaint

Purchase a home generator for Surfside Services of ****** ******* back in November of 2022 for over $13,000.00 and was told I would get a $450.00 rebate that Kohler was offering and that Surfside would send me the money. Im in constant contact with Surfside and again I was told I would receive the money by April 6th never happen. This was one reason I purchased the generator but they lied. It seems to me that they are defrauding consumers.Business response

The rebate with Kohler is not something our company has any direct control over. The manufacturer of the purchased generator, Kohler, did offer a rebate with this purchase. All paperwork has been submitted to Kohler to process the rebate and the rebate has been, per Kohler, approved. However, ****** has apologized repeatedly that they are experiencing delays in processing rebates. This is not something our company has control over, and this information has been passed on to *************** He has also, from what ****** has told **, spoken with ****** and been informed by them that his rebate is being processed. More so, he may contact them at any time for additional updates.
We certainly dispute this complaint as not being related to our business. A manufacturer rebate is outside of the control of our company and not related to any service we provided. This appears to be a complaint needing to be made against ******, by ****************** own admission that his only complaint is not having received his Kohler rebate, and therefore not a complaint against **. We would appreciate that this complaint be removed.
Furthermore, to clarify, ************** has never been told we would send him a rebate. A manufacturer rebate comes directly from the manufacturer, and ultimately come to ************** directly from Kohler as a check.

I hired this company because my toilet was rocking every time I sat down on it, and they told me that a ****** replacement cost $325.00 so the serviceman ask me where was the nearest hardware store and I told him Lowes on **************, so when he returned from Lowes 15 minutes later he brought a toilet ****** with him. And I was upset about the repair cost because the ****** only cost $6.95 and they didnt have any caulking I had to loan them mine. So they did the job in 45 minutes which the plumbers national hourly rate is from $25 to $33 per hour, so why did they charge me $325.00 plus a $25 service fee for the job that only took 45 minutes, so I would like a refund of $260.00. Because I feel that I was a victim of excessive price gouging.Business response

Our pricing is flat rate and given up front. The customer was made aware of the price before the work was completed, as is even indicated in his complaint, and he opted to have us perform the work. This does not appear to be a valid complaint but rather buyer's remorse.Customer response
