      I called them to unclog my sewer line. I knew it was clogged on the house side of my clean out because I checked. The tech attempted to unclog it but busted the pipe in the process. So he gave me a price to fix what he just broke. Then said since it was Friday afternoon he would have to come back Monday. When he came back Monday he said he couldn't fix it. We were having to stay at families house during the time waiting for repair. So I called the office and said surely he can come back and repair the broken pvc pipe. So he did and sent me a bill. The problem was at this point the pipe was fixed but my drain was still clogged. So I ended up having to hire another plumber to unclog it. Before the other plumber came out and made the repair we had water backup into my home and flooding half of the downstairs of my house causing damage to my hardwood floors rug and some personal property. They never tried to make things right with me or apologized for the situation.

      Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/10/14) */ The management team at Roto Rooter made every effort over several months to work out a solution with Mr. ******. Mr. ****** and our General Manager made an agreement on a price for the work we did at his home. We adjusted the invoice to the amount Mr. ****** agreed to pay and he still refused to pay the bill. Due to this, we made the decision to send the bill to collections. Our service technician worked hard and Mr. ******'s house and simply put his claims against our company are untrue. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/10/15) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) They claim to have adjusted the bill. This isn't accurate. They actually charged me $1200 for a job that they quoted $600.00. The $1200.00 was if they came out on Saturday. They have continued to misrepresent the facts to try and say they worked with me. The amount of errors on this is astonishing. I waited for them to repair the pipe they busted for them to fix the pipe the technician busted. I had two other plumbers come look at it and agree that the technician busted the pipe trying to unclog the line. I tried to unclog it from my wash out with a water hose and it was clean as a whistle. After the technician tried to unclog it there was more d everywhere. That's when the other plumbers said there is an elbow or 45% turn connecting it to the cast iron pipe coming out of my house. That's exactly where he busted it. Then turn around and try and charge me to fix it is what happened. Sadly we couldn't stay at my house for 3!days and told him to come back Monday because 1200 is way to much. He came back Monday and the hole was already dug for him. Because I tried to make the repair myself on Saturday. They continue to lie about the facts. I'm not sure why they can't tell the truth on this. I've never had an experience like this with any other company in my life. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2021/10/15) */ Roto Rooter stands behind the work done at Mr. ******'s residence. This job was thoroughly looked into by our management team, and as stated before we made an adjustment on our invoice and an agreement with Mr. ****** on a price for the work we did at his home. The complaints Mr. ****** is making about our technician and company are simply untrue and inaccurate claims. After an agreement was made on a price for the work we did, Mr. ****** still did not pay our invoice and waited a couple of months to begin making the claims he is making now. Mr. ****** asked for a service, we provided our service, followed up with him, and stand by our work. It is our position that we are owed for the work we did at his residence.
