Between October 2018 and October 2021, BBB has received 21 consumer complaints against this business. After numerous complaints, BBB launched an investigation into this business and it's business practices. Consumers report initial interactions occur with this business and the owner, Mike or Tommy Mitchell by responding to advertisements on buy and sell pages on social media or other platforms. Consumers then report viewing RVs and camper trailers that are staged in a way to conceal damage, have limited access to view, or have no power available to test all features or appliances. Consumers report when the trailer or motor home is delivered, it is not as advertised, with visible water damage, mold, tire damage, missing components, etc. All consumer reports also state that no title is provided, the bill of sale is pre-signed with a different name, has an incorrect VIN number, and oftentimes, they are deceived into thinking all of the required paperwork is included in a sealed envelope.

At the time of this investigation, Mike's RVs aka Budget RVs aka A1 RV, LLC does not have a state issued dealer license required for titled travel trailers/campers.

Most victims report being in extreme need at the time of purchase, with many of them navigating losing their homes or having extensive damage from hurricanes and seeking temporary housing.
