ZERO STARS - I recently held a family reunion event at this hall. While everything turned out well, I DO NOT recommend using this facility. I met with the owner on 1/3/2023 and paid for the venue in full for an event on 6/24/2023. At that time I advised we were expecting about 100 people for the event. On 6/7/2023 one of my cousins and I visited the facility again. We discussed entry into the facility for decorating and agreed to 1pm. We also discussed the number of chairs and tables that would be needed to accommodate the 100 guests. The owner advised she had 6 or 7 long and 4 round tables, also 62 gold and 40 silver chaivari chairs. On 6/14/2023 when I circled back with her to finalize everything, I was told that in order to gain entry into the hall at 1pm that an additional $65 fee was required. She also advised the 40 silver chairs had been rented out to another venue so they would not be available for my event. This caused me and my family members to have much angst and the need to find 40 more chairs at an additional charge of $200. This was totally unprofessional and unacceptable, however, it had to be done since we were 10 days out from the event. On 6/27/2023 I emailed the owner and requested a refund of the $65 early entry charge, as well as a partial or full reimbursement of the 40 chairs at $200. To date, I have not received a response. I DO NOT recommend using this venue.
