  Dropped my truck off to have the transmission rebuilt in November of 2023, was told it would be 2 weeks. After 5 months called me back finally and said that his transmission rebuilder quit and the owner did not want to rebuild it and that it would be easier to just replace the transmission. I said I dont want to replace the transmission so Ill just come get it so I can take it to a shop that will actually perform the work. He told me it would cost me $750 because they already took it apart. I told him thats not right because I dropped it off for a rebuild and they are now refusing to do the job. He said best he can do is $500. So I said whatever just put it back together Ill pay it. That was 2 months ago now he will not return my calls and I would have to take off work to go talk in person.

  6-4-2024 **************** Brackins called BBB to say he did not tell you it would be two weeks for the job to be completed. He believes he told you it would be two weeks before he can check it out. He is working on your vehicle today and hopes it will be ready today or tomorrow. He will call you for pickup. He wants to be paid via cash - $500.00.

  I am rejecting this response because:

  We keep getting told this day, that day, and tomorrow it will be ready. Its been a month since the complaint was filed, and about 8 months since it was dropped off. We have been having to borrow other peoples trucks because we operate a small farm, and cant just stop because the trucks down. My wife called today to check on the progress and he told her to stop calling then started lying about what was agreed on. She then expresses that we would just come get it as is so we can take it to our local shop. He told her that the truck will not leave his shop until hes done with it. So now hes just holding the truck hostage. If the truck isnt ready in the condition it was dropped off in by close of business 6/10/24 we will be filing a lawsuit. We have a meeting with our lawyer tomorrow 6/7/24.

  Yes they finally let me get my truck yesterday 6-17-24.
