I decided to work with a realtor who told me it was better to work with a loan officer at Assurance Financial than to work with my bank due to business hours. She stated I could close on a home much faster with a loan officer who responds on weekends. The entire time prices that were quoted to me were increased by thousands of dollars. The loan officer did not answer questions or provide me with documents requested. He did not provide me with requested documentation of the changes he claims took place with my credit score. I have since verified that my credit score never changed. He changed my loan from Conventional to FHA claiming my score dropped. After closing continued to be delayed I got a really bad feeling and decided to back out. The realtor refused to provide me with the termite inspection report and claimed she had not seen it and that the title company has it. I looked up the company she chose for the termite inspection and it was not a reputable company. She sent me an invoice after I backed out requested payment for the termite inspection. This invoice accepted strange payments and didn't list a phone number. I told her I needed a copy of the termite report and a more secure way to pay. At that point she sent a document for me to get out of the contract for purchase of the home and stopped responding. The loan officer also refused to respond. I am under the impression that the home had major termite issues or there was never a report done. I contacted the title company's closing attorney who first claimed he never received the termite inspection report. An hour later he went back on his story stating that he found it in the companies shred box which was strange to me. I would not recommend this company to anyone after my experience. I was mislead by their positive reviews on google.
