I am writing another review because it needs to be pointed out that kens sewing center was aware they forgot to give me the free bonus kit and they were going to send it to me. The only reason I mentioned it on the review is because I didnt want them to think I was keeping it when I returned the machine . These are good people at this company and they **** over backwards to help you . I wish they had a store in ********* .Review from Margie D

I ordered from Ken's Sewing Center because I found their ******* videos so helpful. I ordered a Singer **** HD ($300) and subsequently changed my mind and upgraded to the **** ($350). I then received a defective **** (wouldn't backstitch, stitch length wouldn't change, auto threader failed, needle hit the needle ************* messages on the screen and other issues), called arranged a replacement machine and this unit was defective too (turned the unit on, it made a horrible buzzing sound!) TWO DEFECTIVE units in a row. I don't believe they were new units to begin with (lots of fingerprints and incorrectly installed housing, possibly a former repair unit? I don't know.) Called, demonstrated the sound to a voicemail. Confirmed this unit was defective. No other comparable options available so I asked for a refund. I paid the return shipping for this defective unit. My refund for a $350 machine (defective times two) was $204.48. That's a difference of nearly $150. I'm told it's due to inability to refund shipping charges on a return. I cannot believe that it was $150 in shipping (it cost me $26.30 to send it back). Aside from that, when I asked for an explanation (via email) of this statement from ***'s website, "We will pay the shipping within the first ******************************************************************* the event you have a defective item." I got silence. I am out $150 for returning 2 defective units.Review from Laurie S

Kens Sewing Center will be my Go To for all of my sewing machine purchases. *****, the owner took time to review many machines with me over the phone. His expert knowledge and professional manner helped me purchase just the right machine for my bag making business. My order was delivered in pristine condition very quickly. I think it could be a little better with shipping. If you buy the machine with the frame deal juki tl-2010 with the queen size frame 8' they send them seperate. They want you to sign for it and call it complete. I only had the machine and had to contact them for the shipping number for the frame. It was a pain. If you buy something then they sould provide a shipping number without asking. I only had the sewing machine shipping number not the frame. Second I am disappointed because I did not get all the accessories listed. I got most but the ones I wanted was not there. They claim to have contacted the company with the macine number but it's been more than a week and I have not heard back. If they have it on their site that it's included then it should have every single item...not just a few. I think my review is fair and honest. I wish they would follow up with the parts though.Review from Amber C.

I have placed a lot of orders with Kens Sewing Center and they are always so helpful. Orders get shipped out very quickly as well! If I ever were to need anything I am able to give them a call and speak to someone and they are all so friendly!!Review from Tim E

Since I've read several negative reviews I have to add my comments.I have ordered from them several times and am always amazed at how quickly they ship. I receive my merchandise in perfect condition. I have not ordered a machine - but I have ordered Bernina accessories as well as other items.I would buy from them again.Review from Laura P

I purchased a refurbished Janome HD **** ***** April of last year. I have had problems with the tension tension since I received it. I have also called ***** multiple times. Nobody answers the phone and nobody returns calls. I feel swindled. I should've just spent the extra $100 to buy brand new new from a reputable dealer. Do not buy from this place. Ken's sewing center is a fly by night store - unreliable and dishonest.
I purchased a brand new sewing machine from Ken's Sewing Center 10/9/21. I could have bought from a different store (Ken's certainly did not offer the lowest price compared to others) but I choose their store over the others because it was ADVERTISED in their website along with the purchase of the sewing machine it will come up a $*** bonus kit (there were 3 bonus kits to choose from). The kit I picked was the Convertible Even Feed foot set worth ****** and the Clearview Foot 1/4 seam set worth ****** (It's not even worth ***** but whatever)
When I received my order, the bonus kit items I found in the box were not the ones I picked out from the options when I placed my order. It was worth $55 bonus items, not **** as per their website.
I emailed the store, "I checked the website and it seems that the bonus item included has changed. I ordered this Saturday, the 9th. When I placed this order the website showed the bonus to include the items that I was looking for. Can you please make this right?"
Their customer service rep response was "I am sorry for the confusion, we must have changed the listing as you placed the order, The previous bonus kit is on back order and will not be available for some time. We had to change those free items as we do not know when they will be back in stock."
I understand there are some things that stores can't control but someone from Ken's sewing center called me 10/11/21 to verify my details but they obviously did not care to mention that the bonus kit was going to be changed. I also looked up the items that I was supposed to received and it was IN STOCK in their website.
Another response they sent was, "We do list while supplies last but if you would like to send in the bonus items you received and receive the previous bonus kit you can do that. It will be a while as those items are on a long back order and we do not know when they will arrive again."
Which I responded by asking for a return shipping label and their reply was "we do not provide return labels. You can ship it usps if you would like"
I don't know which customer rep was responding to me because they have not been including their name in the email.
I would return the sewing machine in principle and not give them my business but their returns policy is that they will charge a 10% restocking fee and shipping. I sure as heck am not going to give them money for nothing.
I will make sure that my quilting guild and quilt message boards know how much of a scammer this store is. I should have bought my sewing machine from Amazon.Ken's Sewing & Vacuum Center Response

My name is Kevin and I am the owner here at Ken's Sewing. I am very sorry that this happened to you. I am also the person here that takes care of our website and I 100% agree with what you are saying. We have had issues with back-ordered item and the supplier getting all the items to us. I will most certainly make sure that you get all the items you were supposed to receive before our website changed. You were supposed to get all the items that were advertised to you when you purchased and I have made all my employees aware of this.
You should also have been notified of this change.
I am going to be shipping you a package of bonus items right out to you.
I apologize for our error and thank you for your patience and understanding.
I am checking on an ETA of the bonus items and will email you in a few minutes.
