On 6/13/23 (ticket WHO *****) we purchased engineered wood floors and install for our upstairs. We have owned our home for 29 years and have had a number of installs from *****'s over the years and have been pleased.There were some mistakes made by a fairly new employee. When they tore up the carpet there was particle board on the floor and the employees blamed me, a woman, with no experience in field what-so-ever. This changed the way things had to be done and two employees made fun of me to my husband because they claim I told them plywood was on the floor not particle board. This is not only not true but, if it were, it is their responsibility to find out what's there. Because of their mistake they couldn't put the floors down that day after I had already paid to have my dogs boarded for the day. Money wasted.In the end, all looked great as has been our experience with *****'s but i was out $75 for unneeded boarding of my dogs and there was 22 feet of leftover quarter round and two open boxes of flooring. At most, two pieces of flooring were missing out of each box.We talked to *****'s an the install manager **** came (over an hour late with no phone call) and told my husband that it's often typical to work out of 4 boxes. I think the measurements were incorrect and I have never been left with more than one open box of flooring. I feel disrespected and gaslighted. At the very least they should reimburse us for one box of flooring.
