Hired company to complete renovations to my home. Asked for laminate flooring to be installed in a basement living area. Manufacturer instructions were provided in the boxes of wood that were purchased by me, the homeowner, and asked that they be installed with ******************* and silicone at the edges as the instructions stated. They were not. Laminate flooring installed in bathroom and asked the same as far as following instructions provided by the floor manufacturer. They were not. The subfloor was not prepared as stated in the instructions and the floors bounce and dip and are installed so poorly. The shower kit was purchased by me and installed backwards and water spills all over the floor when shower is turned on and I was told by *****, the owner, that next time you need to stay out of it and let them do their job and was expected to pay more money after $8500 was already payed for the job for his guys to come back and fix it the way the provided instruction manual said to. They threw away an important part to the the shower, the threshold that is supposed to be screwed into the pan and when looking for it in their many trash bags that were left in my driveway, I found a case of beer with empty beer bottles on my property left by his crew. I came back home to a piece glued to the floor of the shower to act as the threshold on the wrong side of the shower that in no way kept water in the shower and did not solve the problem.Company Owner offered to return money for poor work but no money has been returned. My husband responded to the text message with the offer stating whatever he felt like was appropriate. I would like an explanation of charges as to why I paid him $8500. I do not feel like the return in work I received is $8500 worth. I purchased the flooring used, ******************* that was not used, silicone used, and shower kit and have the receipts. I will be spending much more to repair all of their mistakes.Business response
