I just finished my Bachelor's degree with Columbia Southern and have re-enrolled in the *** program. I had the best experience with CSU financial aid, professors, and advisors. I hesitated to enroll because I had no prior knowledge that this college existed until a co-worker told me she was getting her Master's through them. As the individual stated below, the institution helps you with your payments and offers any means necessary so that you can be successful.

So far so good! The courses are very flexible and manageable even as a student with a full time 44-hour job, 3-young kids, and taking 4-classes per term. Its all about how you manage your time and completing the assignments with accuracy. Wish the CSU library was a little bit more user friendly, but the unit assignments are exactly what I like: organized and structured! Would like to see a *************** AA degree program for my wife.Overall, I enjoy the college and glad I was recommended this from my fellow military friends.Almost done with my Bachelor's in Cybersecurity this Sept/Oct of 2024!

Columbia Southern University offered me the ability to study college courses to complete a Bachelor of Science, while working full time on rotating shifts. They allowed me the ability to make payments and finance my tuition. I would not have been able to afford lump sum tuition payments that some colleges charge. Dr. *********************** was an inspiration, not just in my chosen field, but also as part of the staff at the university. As an adult learner the staff and instructors were tough, but fair. They tested, but also required me to write papers or produce work/projects in my professional field. They insured I understood the subject matter in theory and practice and could produce the same quality work on the job. They also gave me inspiration to continue my studies when life got in the way (as it always does). I attended two brick and mortar schools in the state where I live and C.S.U. did a much better job than both here. I can't say enough about the school did to help me grow both professionally and personally. If I had to use *********** less to describe my experience with CSU they would be: hard work, integrity, challenge, opportunity, family, caring, pride, inspiration, and faith. I felt like a part of the family instead of a just a number.

CSU has been a great experience and perfect choice for my educational needs. All the staff have been extremely polite, and very attentive to any questions or concerns I’ve had. I love that the structure is designed with working adults in mind. Taking two eight week courses fits perfectly into my schedule, and very manageable. I have requested many of the services offered and the staff is very prompt working on my behalf to assist all of my needs. Overall, Columbia Southern University was a great choice for me! I’ve never had an issue while attending CSU. I would recommend this university to anyone seeking flexibility in a degree program.

My husband, a coworker, and I are all students here and we love it. Some classes are easier then others but all and all we are learning a lot. We are all over 40 years old and not having any issues with videos or classes or getting extra help from the math or writing center. Everyone has been wonderful and we are all paying as we go so loans or anything like that. My only complaint is that the classes that are easy are VERY easy but that is life.

First, aggressive recruiting that ignores a prospects academic background (MAYT 1302-College Algebra) has NO PREREQUISITE REQUIRED FOR THIS COURSE. I am 60 and DOD not graduate HS (obtained GED in 1979 in the Navy). To be thrown into such a course with no foundation was absurd. 90% of students expressed anger and dismay at the despondency they felt via the weekly units discussion board postings. 2nd, The instructions for taking Final Exams is an outdated YouTube video that is extremely blurry and goes so fast no one can understand it. It is filled with misinformation that leads a student down dead ends. Staff refuse to address the issue after complaints in each term. 3rd, The option to receive an Associates while earning a BS is offered, but after obtaining the credits and paying the (assessment fee), I'm told that the courses provided for the BS do not qualify for an Associates degree. I need the Associates for job opportunities while working on the BS. I'm in a Financial Bind. 4th, and the issue that has caused me extreme anger and frustration is the OFA, Staff are very rude and nearly all requests are responded to with "we do not have to", "It is our choice", ""we're not required to" for things like help with applying for FSA Loan process, receiving a 1098-T, Timely Stipend payments. Financial Aid Staff are extremely rude, indifferent toward students needs (once enrolled). I should have checked CSU's rating prior to enrollment. If CSU cannot afford quality and quantity of staff needed to provide adequate service, they should not be in business. I feel they are taking advantage of Veterans and the VA Educational Benefit Program. While I love studying and have good professors, the issues I've listed have caused unnecessary difficulties, loss of sleep, financial failure, and mental anguish. I have never been so amazed and disgusted with any person or group of people. I wish I could change schools and CSU be investigated. The ratings should be a sign.
