      They are dishonest . I used Them because AHS sent them. They replaced an air compressor inside my condenser with a rebuilt one. It makes a loud ringing noise when it cuts off like dozens of times per hour. Its unbearable ringing noise. They claim its fixed and they dont cover noises! No other unit makes this loud screeching and ringing noise I have ever heard. My unit never made this noise. I called multiple times and they would come out and say sorry it works. My neighbors are as annoyed as I am. The last service call I recd said he would discuss with owner and get back with me . Nothing !

      Ordered wrong parts twice and accepted payments from American Home Shield for doing absolutely nothing. Firs technical measured incorrectly and it took two week to get the "correct" unit in. ****** of service appointment the service manager called and said the "correct" unit would not fit inside the closet. They would have to modify the closet and the American Home Shield would not cover the cost. American Home Shield paid me $371.92 for an air handler unit that probably cost at least $800. They paid Myers $405 for basically coming out to measure for the wrong unit. I asked Myers to give me an estimate for installing a complete new system. For the warranty part of the project they were going to charge me $1,000 for 10 pounds of Freon. When I asked about replacing the condenser, at my expense, and the air handling unit inside, under warranty through American Home Shield, the cost for Freon was only 4 pounds and $110.00 a pound. Very dishonest! **************** was good.

      We apologize for the negative experience you had with **. It does look like the ball was dropped a couple of times on our end here. The technician did measure everything correctly, but when we reported the diagnosis to AHS, it was overlooked that there were access issues, which added unnecessary time to the process. In the end that detail was not not relevant with AHS, as they informed us that your contract did not cover what's called brand-for-brand replacement, which is what would have been required to have coverage on the piece that is installed inside.

       

      As far as what you were quoted on refrigerant -- your contract covers $10/lb of refrigerant so for 10lb of refrigerant, at $110/lb that would be correct. When you were quoted with the condenser being done through us, condensers come pre-charged with refrigerant so that was removed from the equation. The 4lb was quoted as an "up to" number. In apartment HVAC configurations, there tends to be a very long lineset connecting the outdoor components to the indoor components and refrigerant has to travel through the whole line. When you turn on a brand new condenser and it releases the charge, the refrigerant charge typically drops a little, or a lot, depending on the length of the lineset. Usually 4lb is a safe estimate of the maximum the charge would drop, so that's what we quote; however, we only charge for what we add when the install is complete, so you likely would not have been charged for the 4 full pounds.

       

      I hope I have been able to add clarification on what you were quoted. We are not a dishonest company, we always strive for excellence. Unfortunately we are only human. We understand mistakes can add friction to an already frustrating process, so we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We will learn from it and use this to improve. We hope you were able to get your A/C issues fixed, and that you might give us another shot in the future if you have any further A/C needs.

      This company is a joke they was sent out on second opinion.for my AC and heater they got my heater running they came back out on second opinion and charge me 300 dollars to clean my coils in which I wasn't told that anything was wrong the first time then the second time they put preconditions in which that was totally wrong.and I prove that my insurance at first was going to try to denie afterwards until I proved my case my insurance company end up going with another company.. I will recommend never use this company it seems if you have insurance they will give you the runaround.They charged me 300 the second time they came out. If it was preconditions why wouldn't they put that the first time that came out??

      Myers Comfort Specialists should never be used. They never returned our calls and never gave us any itemized estimates for any of the $*****+ “out-of-pocket “charges over and above America Home Shields payment that Myers claimed were necessary to replace our air handling unit. We have a policy with American Home Shield, but they did not even report all of the issues to them. AHS ended up having two work orders associated with the same air handling unit repairs due to the incompetence of the Myers staff. We eventually got our claim with AHS reassigned to another air conditioning repair service . Three weeks without a/c in June and starting over now with a new service provider thanks to Myers! 0 out of 5 stars!
