This complaint relates to a service provided by the business. As the business suggests, they provide a powder coating service.I took 4 alloy wheels in to be powder coated. These were stock OEM wheels off my vehicle and wanted a color similar to the stock color, nothing special. I was quoted $600.10/12/22 I receive notification the wheels are ready for collection. That same day I went to collect the wheels which were in the building belonging to the business. I asked the owner for an invoice. He showed me where the wheels were and said I could load them up while he created the invoice. As I'm loading the first wheel and I'm looking it over the owner comes with his card machine, provides an invoice and takes payment. At that point I notice the quality of the work on the wheel is poor and question the owner. The wheels have pinholes present all over. He states this is caused by 'outgassing'. Gas being released by my wheels as they are heated up.I then look at the other 3 wheels which have the same issue. I told him I was not happy with this work and would take them somewhere else and if in fact the second business managed to do a great job I would return to him to discuss a refund. He agreed to that and away I went. The wheels were taken to the next Powder Coating business the very next day for them to inspect. They said the 'outgassing' is caused by poor preparation before the powder coating is applied and he could work them for me.10/26 I receive a call from the second powder coating business to say my wheels are ready. I go to collect them and they are in great shape, no issues like Unique Powder Coating stated was happening. I contacted Unique Powder Coating who requested photos of my wheels which I forwarded. He agreed to refund $300. He now wants to see the invoice from the second business and wants to know the name of the second business before issuing a refund. This has no relevance to the quality of his work or the refund he agreed.Business response

As stated in the complaint. I asked for an invoice and I will gladly give the customer $300 refund. Customer has been very secretive about this whole invoice from the other company that he says did a better job. Im not asking a lot just a COMPLETE invoice with a letterhead. What he gave me looks like something anyone can create on a computer.
