**** *********** *******, aka **** ******* of Summit Roofing reroofed my house in April of 2020. He pitched himself as a former Storm Damage Adjustor. He was bonded & insured at the time. He is a fast talker. He said they complete jobs in 1 day, so I agreed. He used migrants, who mostly couldn't speak English, for his labor. He also asked for money out of pocket until the insurance money came in, but I refused. He claimed he inspected my roof with a drone, post-install, but I was home & never saw him. Later I had it inspected by 3rd party and they found problems. One of which was obvious manufacturers defect. The Owens Corning Duration Sure Strip was visible on roughly 70 sparsely located shingles. You couldn't see this from the ground. His crew either saw this at installation & ignored it or didn't know what they were doing. I told **** about it & he sent out 4 different people at different times to take photos. He argued with me about the issue but his inspectors all agreed with me. He said that he would just reinstall the roof and Summit Roofing would pay for it rather than going thru the pain of fighting the warranty claim. He changed his mind & began stringing me along when he found out that I filed a warranty claim to help him out with cost. Warranty would only pay for 100 shingles that would only butcher my roof when installed so now I'm stuck. I gave **** the benefit of doubt since he was still communicating by text. I didn't know he was changing his residence just before he cut off all communication on 9/29/21. Just found from former unpaid employees that he was arrested for domestic violence(strangulation) in *********** AL & lost his roofing license. Due to the items below, I'm seeking cost for a new roof: 1.Vent jacks not installed right 2.Broken shingles from Installation(no storm damage) 3. Defective Owens Corning Shingles 4. Temp replaced Warranty sample shingles 5. Shingles not covered by Warranty
