CB&S has committed fraud against me. They are abusing their power against a poor, working class, military veteran.I have two accounts with them a checking and a savings. Since the end of March of 2024 they have been charging my savings a service charge of over $170 in 3 months. Taking money away from me that I need to survive and live on while I work on the road. When I set up my account. I was told it is a free account. There is no humanly possible way that I should be charged a service charge of $75 just this past month of May for having a savings account. When I get a paycheck deposit into my checking I move it to my savings and then from that point do an internal transfer when I need money and I have to do it this way because of fraud from CB&s Bank and from when their mobile app breaks down and I have no access to my account I can't take a chance of having money stolen from me. I should not be charged over $170 the last 3 months for doing nothing wrong and I did not sign up for a savings account that was going to be charged for transferring money from one into another internally that cost them nothing. And this just started at the end of March and I need my money back to survive on while I'm working on the road and they give me my money back I'm more than happy to move to another bank that doesn't do this to their customers I am a poor class working American that follows the law and I'm having a big bank bankrupt me by abusive and illegal charges against me for doing nothing wrong and I wanted to stop and I want my money back immediately.Business response

RE: Complaint ID: ********
CB&S Bank is in receipt of the above identified complaint in regard to our customers claim that the bank committed fraud against him. He states that he has been charged over $170 in service charges in 3 months and wishes to receive a refund of $175. CB&S Bank has researched the claim. **** were charged for withdrawals from his savings to his checking account. The fees associated with the savings account were disclosed on our Fee Disclosure and Truth-in-Savings Disclosure that were provided to the customer at account opening. Savings accounts are not transactional accounts, however, the bank allows three withdrawals per month with no fee. All withdrawals over three per month incur a fee of $3.97 each. These fees are charged to every customer when making more than three withdrawals and/or transfers per month. As stated above, the fees associated with the savings account were disclosed on two documents.CB&S Bank will respond directly to the customer in regard to this complaint.Sincerely,********************* CB&S Bank SEVP-Chief Admi

I am rejecting this response because:
They didn't start charging until 3 months ago when before that I was making interest even though I was transferring back to both accounts. They changed their bylaws after the fact and then start charging me otherwise it would have happened when I first opened the account and it didn't so no matter what they say they committed fraud and stole money from me and they did it intentionally and vindictively.
Sincerely,

They need to know that there will be a lawsuit filed in connection with their response and stance because they in fact deceived and frauded me on my savings account. Anything you do within their banking app you are told that there is a fee whether it's a stop payment fee or if you need a cashier's check. You're notified of a fee as you progress. Anytime a purchase is made through my checking or savings account I am giving a notification of that expense. CB&S never gave me any notification of a transfer fee or expense anytime I transfer from checking to savings or savings to checking thereby not knowing how many transfers were done and at the end of the month you got hit with a fee. None of this was in the bylaws when I opened my savings account they did this after the fact and no one ever called or contacted me. This is called deceive and destroy and they did it intentionally and vindictively to pray on me as a poor citizen that they could take advantage of because they do not do this to any of their businesses on bigger accounts. A lawsuit will be filed as well as a federal complaint because they have to notify me and in no way did they. I wanted my $171 return to me and now it's going to be a lawsuit for thousands for praying on me as a poor military veteran and exploit me so they can make money because of the money that was in the savings account to begin with there is in no way that they would make that kind of profit $171 over 3 months so they made up the transfer fees and did it secretly so they could steal my hard earned money. That's why they call transparency what it is and they in no way we're transparent and what they did to me and it is fraud!
