The staff was pleasant but when it came time to buy the car, we called and got approval through USAA. (which they didn't think we could) They then sprung the fact that they had a 'new' policy where we had to finance through their lenders and USAA was not on their list. Red flags started to go off. USAA is a reputable lender. So, we got the car and tried to pay a sizeable down payment (that surprised them). They told us that they don't accept wire transfers and since it was a Saturday we had to bring a certified check on Monday. Harbin would release the vehicle to us then. I did not want to leave my vehicle with them, but they would not accept a wire transfer. So, we brought the check on Monday, and we were made to wait in the lobby while our salesman, took the check to the person who sold it to us to verify that it was legitimate. Then, while we were still waiting in the lobby, it was taken to the cashier cage and a receipt brought to us with no paperwork I had signed. I felt this was weird. A customer care person came out to set up our vehicle for us. At the end she asked me if I had any questions. I asked for copies of my SIGNED paperwork from the dealership. She brought back about 4 or 5 pieces of paper with my signature on only 2 of them. I was upset because I had signed in at least 5 places. The guy who processed the sell printed a lot. They took me back to another guy and he was irritated with me for asking for MY paperwork. He said that I didn't need the other paperwork. I insisted that if I signed it, I wanted a copy of it. He then printed off the other paperwork I had signed only. Not the entire packet printed off a day or so before. Also, we only got one copy of a key and when we took the vehicle to be inspected at ****** the tires were bald on a 2021 ***** Accord Hybrid. Harbin had complained earlier that they weren't making enough money on the deal, they were only getting a $1400 in profit. If you go here, go with your eyes wide open is all I'm saying.

It is unfortunate we had a miss communication with our customer, if a customer is financing a vehicle we do require using one of our partner lenders. This is because in the past we have had trouble collecting monies from outside lenders. As far as a wire transfer is concerned, we do use wire transfers however they cannot be verified on the weekend and we do require confirmation of all monies before we release a vehicle to a customer. A wire transfer usually takes 24 to 48 hours to be confirmed which is why we would request a check on Monday instead of a wire transfer which could delay delivery. It is also our policy to hold all paperwork and the vehicle until all of our money is secured and then we give the customer the paperwork and deliver the vehicle. If for any reason we neglected to give any paperwork the customer signed it was an oversite and I due apologize, if the customer believes they are missing any paperwork please reach out to *********************** the General Sales Manager and he would be happy to assist our customer.

I bought the 2021 ***** Accord on Monday, 13 March, 2023. We barely drove it 100 miles (from ********** to ********** and then around town) and the tire blew out on it by Friday, 17 March, 2023. It's 21 March today and I am still angry, because my youngest son was driving the car and could have been hurt. By the ***** of God, he was on I-565E and was able to pull over. The tire shredded to pieces. I wish I could include pictures of it. Am I angry yes! I put ****** dollars down on a car(2021 ***** Accord Hybrid) only to have the tires not last even a week. I am not happy. My other issue is that they did not say anything about outside lenders until after we called and waited an hour on the phone with USAA and were approved. They knew who we were calling and why but did not say anything until after we were approved by USAA about not taking outside lenders. They simply were not upfront about anything. I am entitled to a copy of everything used to process and approve my purchase. I should not have to ask for it. I am entitled to it. This is the first place I've bought a car and had this happen. They were going to just give me the car and not even give me the paperwork. I had to ask for it and then they only gave me the bare minimum when I did ask and got frustrated with me when I asked about the missing paperwork. saying that I didn't need it. You see, I paid the $****** down on the vehicle and they totally bypassed their step of giving me my paperwork as per their 'policy'. They took me straight to the vehicle, the final step in their process. I bought another car from a **** dealership in ********* last year and they gave me the same white envelope, that Harbin Ford uses, except theirs was overflowing with everything that they used to process my purchase. The person there printed off everything I signed, and the accompanying documents as well. This is why I know that something is wrong with what Harbin Ford did. The dealership in TN gave me all of the paperwork and then delivered the car. All I want people to know is to check your paperwork, and check the tires on the cars that they sell. If you don't do anything else...please check the tires on Harbin Ford's vehicles before buying. I really and truly pray that what happened to my son (a tire blowing out in less than a week) doesn't happen to someone else.
