I bought a house in ********* in April 2022 and had 2 units. 1 main house and 2nd on shop with apartment above the shop. The 2nd unit was approximately 12 years old and was not cooling well. Southern/*************************** was referred by a handyman we had doing some work at the property. ******* came out the same afternoon I called and told me the refrigerant was low and there was probably a leak in the system. He charged the unit and recommended a stop leak solution he could add to the system (fluorescent green tube like a glow stick) and I agreed so he added the solution to the system. At the end he stated I could save a little money by doing a service plan called "Comfort Club Routine Tune Up" for $235 so I did that as well. The total for the service call was $1080. The charging and leak solution lasted about 2 days. I called ******* back and have yet to see or hear from him. I ended up having the unit replaced so I emailed Southern back to get the service plan money refunded and *************************** responded and apologized for not getting back out to the house and he had been super busy with work but stated he would refund the service plan money but I have never heard anything back from Southern or ******* regarding the refund. TOTAL SCAM AND RIP OFF. DISHONEST and taking advantage of people during times of need so really a textbook example of predatory business practices.Initial Complaint

In 2018, we built a house. Our contractor used Southern Comfort to install our 2 **** HVAC units. I was told, when selecting our units for installation, by the owner, ***************************, that my downstairs unit would come with a 12 year warranty and my upstairs unit a 7 year warranty. Once we moved into our home, I attempted to register all of my HVAC equipment, but was unsure of the correct serial numbers for some of the equipment that was located in my crawlspace. After multiple attempts to contact ******* to get the correct serial numbers, I was told that Southern comfort would register my equipment for me. Fast forward to July 9, 2022, when my downstairs unit started to periodically come up with an error message. I immediately called Southern Comfort. It was a Saturday, so no one answered. I called again on Monday, the 11th of July, and was told that the owner was out of town, but I should receive a call back in 2-3 days. I never received a return call, and had no more error messages on my unit until August 1st. That day I called Southern Comfort twice. The 2nd time, I spoke to ***************************, who finally conceded that a part would likely have to be ordered and that he would have someone out that week to look at unit and order said part. No one ever came or called me back. I have called 2-3 times every week since then asking to schedule a service call for my unit. Each time I have been told that I was on the list and that someone would call me back later that same day. As of September 1st, no one has returned my call, scheduled a service appointment, addressed my concerns, or attempted to provide any service whatsoever. I have spoken to the secretary that answers the phone and have heard numerous excuses about why no one has been to my home yet: short on workers, sickness, etc. I have also made multiple requests for a copy of my warranty, which I have not received. I contacted **** directly, and was told my warranty period is not what I was promised when purchased.Initial Complaint

This a complaint about unsatisfactory customer service and deceptive practices to correct a safety hazard caused by the incorrect installation of a heater exhaust pipe. We have wasted many hours waiting at our house for them to preform a 10 minute task. This task was to be corrected by Larry **** and Tyler ******** On 6-15-2021 , Mr ******* came to check coolant in Air Conditioner. I reminded him of the pipe that needed rerouting. He informed me of the new ownership of MABE. He said that he would be back in September, when work slowed down, to fix the pipe. We called on 9/13 and left a message for Mr *******. Called again on 9/13 and again on 9/14. Called again on 9/15 and was told by secretary that a work order had been made and that Mr ******* would call that morning. No call and again no show. On 9/17 a Mr ****** called and said they had no idea what we were talking about. He came to the house, looked at pipe , took pictures, and said he would have to get the pipes to fix. He admitted that Mr. ******* was one of his employees, and that they had merged with MABE and were responsible for both companies work. Called company on 9/22 and left a message. Coordination for work to be done on 9/29 again failed with a no show. On 10/5, Mr ****** came, but did not have proper fixtures. Called company again on 10/12 and 10/14 and was told that they would be here on 10/18. No show and no call. Again we stayed home all day again waiting. Called on 10/19 to see why they were not showing up, left message. Got a return call at 8PM saying it would have to be a rainy day to fix our problem. Odd and Ins jobs would have to wait for rainy days. This a 10 minute job that has cause this customer hours of wasted time and patience. Their time is more valuable than that of a previous customer. Desired Outcome: Make an appointment with my wife, show up at that time with the correct parts and repair this safety hazard. Do not waste any more of our time!!!Business response
